i dont really see the point in flowers at weddings but was talking to my mum the outher day and seid it would look funny not having them. so i have give in and going for a Calla lilly theam i love these flowers and have them growing in my gardens

these are the button holes and the bouquet we are gunna have a go at and see what it ends up like. We are gunna be making the button holes as my mum is really good at them

awww lilies i love lillies my auntie had them at her wedding, they are my fave flower after daffodills. everyone always tells me they are funeral flowers, our colours are navy blue and white. having a scottish/tartin theme.... not 100% sure what i want but thinking white roses with thisles or something.... not sure of a navy blue coloured flower lol

I love tulips but there out of season in Sept when I get married but the florist is gonna see if we can get them from inside growers - if that makes sense!

Failing that im just having a mixed lot with fuscia pink/purple/white

I'm having white Orchids, silk not real so I can keep them...chosen Orchids purely because my grandparents grew them when I was growing up, they were very proud of them and used to take photos of them, my brothers and I found this hillarious and would joke they took more photos of the bloody plants than of us, they have since passed away and to me it feels like a way to include them since they can't be there

ok since this thread has made me look at flowers lol...i was thinking white roses with light pink gerbera?? i think thats what they are...maybe just the gerbera's?? lol!...for bridesmaids...what does everyone think of that lol..

all i know is i want real so i can put them on my grampy's grave

Ivory roses with black feathers and diamontes in the centre of each rose for my boquet
Ivory roses for button holes too
Womens had an ivory bow on too

I got them done at the college i go to hun, the card i got with them says flourish

Yeah they are real, i picked them up last friday, my wedding was on the saturday, i put them in vase saturday night and they are just starting to die now xx

awww thats a shame hun i am considering getting non-real ones not sure if its a good idea or not but would love to be able to keep them, don;t know if they will look right.... i still have flowers i used as a flower girl almost 20years ago lol.

If you aren't going for real flowers, then I can't recommend Sarah's flowers enough, they were amazing and I had so many comments on them. xx

i got some foam calla lillies last night 36 for £7.99 to make my own Cascading Calla Lily Bouquet and founs this site for tips but i think it needs some thing ellse like some thing red and grassy things but we will play about with that after we have done it
