I was just wondering what the average weight gain/growth is for babies from their 4 to 6 month well-child visits? I believe I read somewhere, that around this age babies put on about a pound per month, does that seem right?

Our DD put on 3lbs and grew 1 and 1/4 inches from her last visit (4months), until now (6 months), I assume this is good, since the doctor didn't say anything. Just wanted to double check though, cause it seems as though she doesn't feed near as often anymore and feeding sessions are much quicker.

It's anything from 1/2lb to 1lb a month, the average at this age xx

Sophie didn't put on much at all, not what she was meant to anyway. She also didn't really gain any length. She picked back up again once starting solids.

Thank you everyone for your replies.

For some reason, I always stress about her getting enough and her weight... even though, I constantly hear that she is a "big girl". And now to top it off, I am starting to pump in preparation for starting work, so I feel like I am taking food away from her, in order to store some.

I also wanted to add, she is by no means interested in solids... in fact, she wakes up about 3 times a night with them, compared to her 1 without. Therefore, she is 100% reliant on my supply. Do you ladies think breast milk is enough to sustain her at 6 months? TIA!
