Hey xx

Our little girl was born 5 days early via emergency c section and weighed 5lbs 14oz. We got her weighed today at 4 weeks and 4 days and she's 9lbs 4oz.... Is this too much????

She doesn't seem to stop drinking and we cant leave her crying hungry :'(

Do you guys have growth charts for babies in the UK? Here is the one we use in Canada

Based on your babies age and weight it tells me that your lo is very slightly over the 50th percentile which is perfectly normal for weight.

With babies so young you never have to worry about how much they eat. Especially with babies that were born on the lighter side! So don't worry at all and be happy that your baby is healthy and has a good appetite! :D

DD1 ate a ton and was the fattest baby ever (she was almost 27 pounds at 6 months). Her dr wasn't worried. He said that babies eat what they need and that she needed it to grow...and she grew very tall. She is 3.5 now and thinned out quite a bit. She's not a toothpick, but not overweight at all. So I wouldn't worry at all!
