weight loss/breastfeeding - bought some scales today.

anybody want to join me in loosing weight?

i was 14st 2lb just before i had Ffion and now i weigh 12st 10lb. i would really love to weigh about 11 (i think thats an attainable goal)

i know i have to eat well to breastfeed.. how can i loose weight at the same time?
 
Cut the dairy :) This will = mucho weight loss and might help with fussy babies. :)

I'll join ya! I've got 35 more pounds to loose (like just over 2 stone). I would like to loose 3 stone, but lets just go with this for now ;).

ok, my son doesnt eat dairy anyway so cutting that out will be easy peasy!!!

:) im glad theres other people out there trying to loose weight :)
 
i'll do it. could really do with losing another stone, 11st at the moment (give or take a few lbs)
 
I was 10 st 8 before and now Im 12 st 8 :(:( I will join you! So thats like... 28lbs to loose right? Im going to try to cut out dairy so hopefully thatll do something.

I'll join you! I have 24 lbs. to lose. I was 147 before I got pregnant, and I'm 171 right now.

Like Margerle said, cut out dairy and that'll help... I've lost nearly a stone in 4 weeks since returning to veganism and eating way better than before and Indigo's gaining weight so fast!
 
i weighed myself this morning and im still 12st 10lb
 
I read somewhere that in order for your body to keep producing milk you shouldn't lose more than one lbs. per week. It's gonna be a long time coming off!
 
The last few days I've just been starving! I've not had much of an appetite since before Sharlotte but ate to keep milk production up, and remain healthy. But in the last couple of days, my production really started to regulate, and she's been feeding more regularly, (though today she's cluster feeding again like she's in a growth spurt).

I hit a plateau of weight loss after week 2 and I'm just trying to eat good portions of good food. I guess weight loss will kick in when my body is ready. (It might help if I got up and walked too ;))
 
I've been trying to lose some weight as well, not doing too badly now but still a way to go!

Exercise! don't forget ladies that exercising will tone up your post baby body and speed up your metabolism and having a greater muscle mass will aid your weight loss as well.
 
I haven't lost any since week 2 either. I started walking last week, but now I have pink eye which has made me feel like I have the flu and have barely been able to get out of bed. I'm hoping that I can start walking again this coming week. BLECH!
 
i'm going to start trying to loose some weight too, gonna weigh myself once i finish feeding kieran, i'm going to be scared to look
 
Just be careful not to over do the exercise. Its winter in South Africa so I don't get much chance to walk. Last week we had two stunning sunny days so I took LO in his stroller and went for a long walk on the beach. Unfortunately it was too long for my unfit body and for a couple of days afterwards I struggled with my milk production.

Is there anyone not trying to lose weight ? :-) The first two weeks I lost so nicely and since then I've remained the same weight. I have however dropped a jean size though which is good news.
