Hi everyone,
Has anyone out there with PCOS lost weight and begun to ovulate again?? I'm about to start 2nd round of Clomid (100mg this time) and have been actively dieting with the hope it'll kick start my ovaries if the clomid doesn't work again! :help:
I've heard that a weight loss of just 5% of your bodyweight can work. I'm 4lbs off that, so fingers crossed! BMI currently 30.
Good luck ladies

:dust::dust::dust:

well iv been told 4 clomid to work at its best ur bmi shud be no higer that 29. im currently at 30.6 so wen im 29 il ring up fs and get clomid xx

Im currently on day 23, I dont have a clue if I ovulated??? will find out tomorrow when I get the results of day 21 bloods. This has been my first cycle of clomid and I have very high BMI. Im losing weight much better now im on metformin, im losing average 2lbs a week since ive been on it :thumbup:
Good luck with TTC and losing weight! :happydance:

urgg i was on metformin and hated it,, iv lost 11lb in a month thanks to ww! xx

I dont have PCOS--but some tests have demonstrated that I may have Late onset Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia.. my testosterone is high as well.. it may be caused by CAH. Not sure yet though. Anyway I was pretty overweight and having very abnormal cycles.. I also had a couple of ovarian cysts that ruptured. I lost almost 40 pounds and am now considered normal weight-though I'd like to lose 15 more! ;)

All I did was track my calories with an app on the iphone.. I think you can do it online if you dont have an iphone it's called loseit! . I also was working out (havent been in two weeks, going back today!) at the gym for 35 minutes on an elliptical (ended up doing about 2.5 miles) for about 4-6 days a week. It makes you feel so much better too! More energy and all around feeling good. Good luck!

My periods have now been like clockwork for 6 months, and I have been ovulating!!

Thanks for the replies ladies, you've all inspired me! I'm doing WW, only started 2 weeks ago but have lost 7lbs so far, i'm hoping its gonna help the clomid to make my ovaries work!!!
Just taken the first of my 100mg clomid tabs for this cycle, fingers (and everything else!) crossed soooo tightly that it'll work this time!!! The 50mg didn't work and my cycle ended up being 53 days long!!! I was very happy when AF arrived yesterday so i can get started again!
Good luck ladies

im definitely going to try this loseit thing. wow, congrats on loseing sooo much!!

thanks for the advice

Thanks! I swear it works like a charm. After you get used to needing less calories, you barely have to use it your body just needs a certain amount and you are not hungry.
