This is a bit of a rant about weight.

So I've lost 4lbs between weeks 9 and 13. I haven't been getting sick and I eat. At my appointment at 13 weeks they were saying how it wasn't good that I had lost weight and that they're keeping an eye on me and to eat 300 more calories a day. I'm overweight by like 50lbs if you go by normal BMI, 30lbs if you're being realistic with about my body type. My last pregnancy I was heavier and they told me by eating healthy I could maintain or even lose weight. I ended up losing 13 lbs then gaining that plus 6 by the end of the pregnancy. I'm not trying to lose weight I and I can't possibly eat anymore than I do. Believe me I don't shy away from food. I love it all😃 it just feels like imy weight is never good enough. I'm just annoyed.

I've lost weight this pregnancy :) I was about 151 or so and I bottomed out a couple weeks ago at 140. Seems like I'm just hanging around at 140 now. Normal weight for me is between 125 and 135 so 150 was definitely on the heavier side. My doctors haven't said a peep about the weight loss.

As long as you are eating right, eating healthy, and taking care of yourself? I don't think you need to worry about the fuss they are making. I read up about weight loss during pregnancy, and it seems fairly common, especially in the early weeks. I Know I've been secretly enjoying watching the scale go down hahah

I'm in a similar boat. I'm naturally pretty slim, but when we found out I was pregnant, I was the heaviest I've ever been in my life. However, since then, I've dropped 9 lbs, and right now at 23 weeks, I'm the lightest I've been in my entire pregnancy. I'm not trying to lose weight at all, and I keep bringing it up to my doctor at my prenatal visits but she keeps saying she isn't worried at all and attributes it to the fact that I'm just plain eating healthier now. I guess I'm not sure why your doctor is reacting the way they are.

Well I should have added it was a student nurse practitioner that said this to me. She was saying " we don't like it when you lose weight" so that's why i was confused and mostly annoyed. She rubbed me the wrong way anyways. It's the same office I used same midwives and all that. My mom says to just smile and nod as long as baby and I are healthy keep doing what I'm doing.

Honestly, I enjoy watching the scale down as well! I get excited.

Hmmm. I lost seven pounds between 3 and 14 weeks. I didn't gain anything back until almost 16, but my doctor wasn't concerned. She said with ladies with my body type (I do have a bigger frame, I tend to weigh around 180 at my lower weight, but I'm very muscular) they usually expect to see some loss before gain, as there is more leeway for it.

Iv lost a few pounds between weeks 8 and 14 I'm quite a slim
Build to begin with, noones been bothered. With my last pregnancy I had to eat constantly to not feel sick it's been nice not feeling like I'm
Being a pig all the time with this one xx

Don't worry about what anyone says, especially if you're already heavier. I lost 13lbs by week 12. I've gained half of it back now, but my OB actually doesn't want me to gain much weight in the second tri, since I'm heavier. I'm trying to watch my food intake so I don't gain much (if any) more until third tri.

I've lost a stone and lost a stone and a half last pregnancy no one says anything to me x

Pre-pregnancy I weighed 205lbs, and was on a diet, when I found out I was pregnant I weighed about 195lb, and by 16 weeks I weighed 182lbs, I still haven't put weight on so technically I have lost 23lbs while pregnant, and my midwives have said it doesn't make a difference as long as baby is happy and healthy :) Eat what you can and try and eat things you know will benefit baby that's all you can do.
