weird period/bleeding!!! starts then stops..starts again then stops!!!

im confused about my period/bleeding right now!!
it started on june 29th, when i had a light brown discharge... it then turned light pink at times, throughout the day,then last night i bled like crazy with clots and the blood... then woke up today with really light bleeding, then nothing for hours again!!!

I honestly dont know why it is this weird... should i get an ultrasound done to check my ovaries/uterus??? i am unsure about what i should do!!!

all help/ advice is welcome!! thanks!!
