my husbands a welsh speaker but being male he has not interest in names at the moment.

Does anyone have any good welsh names which dont require english people needing a pronounciation lesson?

For example, I liked ffion (fee-on) but my neice is now called that so we cant use it. Anymore for anymore?

thanks thats brill

loads of the boys names have already gone... the pain of having such a big family!!

Aunties and uncles are Eirwyn, Howell (pronounced How-ell), spencer, cynthia, Anne

OH's cousins are Eleri, Grug, Owain, Wyn, Helen (prnounced Hell-en)

Neices and nephews are Jac, Hari, Tomos, Ffion, Aron, Alis

i had a welsh friend called kyra leigh...not sure if its welsh but its different.

My son is called Evan and everytime I tell someone his name they go 'Thats welsh isn't it?'. I think it is, but I actually got it from my favorite american singer when I was younger Evan Dando x

Enid, Bronwyn, Rhiannon

...Dylan was mention but most people (English speakers) say it wrong - I was given a lesson by my Welsh OH, as is Lloyd and Llewellyn.

Arian, Aled, Dai

Seren
Cerian
Rhian

I knew a Welsh man called Gwyn, although I think it means white:shrug: The feminine form is Gwyneth

Btw I cant help but read all these names in a really overexaggerated Welsh accent in my head:D

Lots of the names seem to mean white something...Eirwyn means snow white....it seems to refer to my husbands milk bottle skin!!

And your right about saying the names with a very cardiff accent...i think something happens in my brain and i end up with it coming out cardiff style!!
