Went from low to peak in one day?

So, I started my cycle on June 28th lasted the usual 5 days, and my cycles are usually 35-40 days with a 14 day phase.

Well yesterday I tested with Clearblue advanced Ovulation and it was low, as I expected. Did it today a few minutes ago and it was peak!! I looked at the stick and it was smeared. My cm is also watery like and cervix is hard and closed and low at the moment. so...is this possible? is it wrong?

Usually fertile cm means open, high cervix....this one's got me confused too

Hey, I have no experience in that so im sorry i am of no help...I would act as though it was positive and do what you have to do just in case. I would still continue taking the opks to see what happens next. Good luck

Smear is usually false positive...I would bd just in case but continue testing from cycle day17 onwards for LH surge

I tried that once with the CBFM but it was a real peak reading since I checked the stick afterwards.

I think Jannah K is right, BD just in case and use OPKs since I'm assuming the CBFM Advanced Ovulation is like the monitor and will be giving you 2 peaks in a row. Maybe next time let the stick lie flat on a table for a few minutes before inserting it? That's what I did with the monitor sticks before inserting them to avoid smeared tests.
