I think everyone's seen me moan about Oakley's eczema already. finally took him to the doctor and he had a go saying its all infected and took pictures cos its the worst he'd ever seen. asked if I was depressed or had any excuse why I didn't take him sooner, basically made me feel shit. Its the exact same as the last time I took him, there's just 2 more patches now :( feel so guilty for not taking him sooner but if it's still the same the doctor before should have seen it was infected.

ughhh. feel like the worst mum right now even doing everything id been told the last time I went. now he has to have medicine and an even stronger steroid cream :/ hopefully this is the start of the end now though

Don't feel bad! :hugs:
The other doctor should have noticed! I really hope you get it sorted soon! :nope: :flow:

oh man don't get me started on doctors!
finley was projectile vomiting and hadn't kept anything down all day so i phoned up the hospital who got us an out of hours GP. the GP then had a right go at me saying "it's your fault, you're overfeeding him" which made me feel awful :nope: so i reduced his feeds - the day after he was still puking so i took him straight up a+e where they tried to send me home again but after playing my face up they finally did some blood tests and told me it was pyloric stenosis - which needed treating with an op!

if the doctors say it's okay the first time then you're supposed to trust them, not be shouted at by the next doctor :nope: don't feel bad sweetie! the important thing is that you noticed something was wrong and you took him back to the doctor's even though they said everything was fine. you're a great mommy :hugs:

This is definitely not your fault! Don't feel bad, the doctors should have done something about it before. I hope Oakley gets better soon!

Its not your fault, when you go to a doctor you'd expect them to know what they're on about, its their job after all, they should've noticed before! Fingers crossed that'll clear it up now though, poor Oakley! :flow:

Hope everything gets better for little Oakley ASAP! :hugs:

That's not your fault at all! How are you supposed to know if it is infected or not, especially if it looks the same as before.
You should have had a go at them instead!
Hope poor Oakley feels better soon. I used to have eczema, it's not fun. :( :hugs:

Thanks girls, made me feel bit better. I know, he told me I need to see the doctor I had last time too to check him over in a weeks time cos apparently she was the best one for things like this... Wtf!! That scares me a little lol

So far he's had 2 lots of antibiotics and thrown one of them back up  hoping we do better tomorrow.

Are you breastfeeding? If you are the eczema could be a sign of an allergy. Or if you are formula feeding it could be the formula. If you are breastfeeding you might want to try an elimination diet starting with dairy. And you would have to cut out dairy for 2 to 3 weeks to notice a difference. If you are formula feeding you might want to try a different formula and see if that helps.
Not sure if your doctor mentioned it could be a sign of an allergy so thought I would mention it as you might want to look into that.

I am breast feeding, I did mention that at one of our many appointments and because of where it's appearing they don't think it's my diet. They said it looks more like where his clothes are and where he sweats so we switched to non bio and he's naked as much as he can be now cos he's a hot baby.

But they've just proved they're rubbish so I might try an elimination diet to try and help things along if we don't see an improvement by the end of his antibiotics

Came across this board and thought it might be helpful to you
