Hi ladies,

I am wondering if anyone knows if you can get pregnant without doing IUI or IVF with stats like my husbands below  and what the percentage of chances are? Also, what has worked that your partner has done to increase his count? I am worried our only options are IUI or IVF and it is so expensive

1st SA Stats 3/11/09
Volume 2.5mL
pH 8.5
Total Motile Sperm 0M - very few
Motility too few sperm to get results

2st SA Stats 3/18/09
Volume 3.2mL
pH 8.2
Total Concentration 50M
Total Motile Sperm 2.5M
Motility 5%

3rd SA Stats 4/23/09 - IUI prep
Volume 3.4mL
Total Concentration 51M
Total Motile Sperm 13.6M
Motility 26.7%

4th SA Stats 5/22/09 - IUI prep
Volume 3.0mL
Total Concentration 27M
Total Motile Sperm 2.9M
Motility 33.3%

5th SA Stats 7/18/09 - IUI prep
Volume 2.3mL
Total Concentration 8.3M
Total Motile Sperm 1.4M
Motility 16.7%

Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!! Thank you.

Hi Love,

My OH has low motility (7%), we were told its not impossible to fall pregnant but ICSI is our best chance.
It does happen for some people so dont give up hope! We tried all sorts of vits to help my OH but each SA came back more or less the same. Yet there are plenty of other ladies on here that will tell you they increased their partners swimmers with Zinc, Maca etc. Everyones different but its worth a try!
xx

My DH has a low count and I have PCOS. We where told are only option is ICSI. We have our appointment next month to start treatment. My DH is taking zinc wellman vits and I've just bought him some Maca which will be delivered in the next couple of days. We are still clinging on to hope that we might get a miracle of a BFP without ICSI but at the end of the day I just want a baby with my husband how ever that happens if that means ICSI then so be it.

xx

Thanks OBE. I just wish we could find a cause and fix it...but he is perfectly healthy and they can't find a cause....nothing hormonal or physically wrong. It's frustrating. I placed him on Fertilaid for men at the end of February so I hope it will help. Just wondering what other options there are out there that others have tried. Hope you get your BFP soon. Good luck!

Thanks ACLIO. ICSI was recommend to us, but it is so expensive and our insurance doesn't cover it. I hope you get your BFP before you go! Good luck!

If you don't have any issues have you looked into egg sharing? I hear alot of ladies on here have. When you egg share the cost is reduced for IVF or ICSI. I think it depends on the clinc though. I hope this helps you, if the cost is stopping you.

I have never heard of egg sharing. We haven't been back to our RE since last July when my husband left for training, but he never mentioned this. We just moved to Ft Sill in November and I have my first appointment to discuss what our new doctor will recommend on April 9th. I will have to ask him/her about this. Thanks!!!
