I understand there are an awful lot of wonderful ladies on here who have been ttc for alot longer than me but been googling and not really liking what im reading so thought i would get a better answer from here so, im wondering, ive been ttc #2 for 18 months now and been told by my gp there is no help at all i can get through the nhs so, realistically what are my chances now of falling pregnant on my own? Is it pretty unlikely without help? I ovulate like clockwork, have very regular cycles so nothing obvious going on Kx

Wish I could help, but I honestly don't know!! We are currently at the one year mark of ttc our second child. Did you have difficulty getting pregnant with your first??
I have numerous friends who tried for years with no luck but did eventually get pregnant without intervention so I wouldn't give up hope :)
I'm in Canada so I'm not familiar with how your medical system works, why is it that there is no help you can get?

I don't know what the chances are either, sorry.
Honestly, I'd like to tell you that it's just a matter of time. But, I very much dislike when someone tells me that, and it's not necessarily the truth.

Can you get any testing done at all? Maybe you could get a semen analysis and some blood work done on yourself? I'm from the states, so our system is different as well.

Good luck.

Through the NHS you have to right to a second third and fourth opinion so keep trying different doctors to help you find a reason or just a different method. I tried three before I found the doctor I'm using now. I'm in east sussex and there is a wonderful doctor here who goes out of his way to try and help you (even calling me after hours with good blood test results)
I hope you can find someone who is willing to go the extra mile for you. Or better yet it happens for you before you get a chance :)

If you ovulate with regular cycles maybe it's something about your OH that has changed? Would he be willing to get a sperm analysis done?

thanks for the reply, i actually went for a second opinion with another gp and ive bn referred to fertility clinic, my oh will have an analysis done there so im glad everything can be checked Kx

I sure hope they find out why. I have been trying to concieve for 3 years. I have secondary infertility. Its a hard thing. Just when you think you are making some progress something seems to come up and stop that progress in its tracks. Hang in there I know I am going to. Best of luck.
