What are vests and babygros?

I'm a FTM trying to figure out how much to buy for my new baby and I see these terms all the time in people's suggested lists of what to buy. I'm pretty sure these are UK terms as I've never heard of them in Canada. Can someone post some pics of "vest" and a "babygro" so I know what the heck you guys are talking about? Or does someone know the equivalent North American terms for these items? Thanks!

I think they're "onesies" in American? Could be wrong. Look like this, and sometimes have longer sleeves or leggings with the feet bit attached.
