no matter where i am, i'm hearing of many bfps and a lot of times it really upsets me that i'm 24 and trying for 14months now and nothing :(
what do you ladies do to distract yourselves from thinking about it?
we just got a puppy so that's my distraction!

We started TTC when I was 21 and I will be 26 next month.

I have a kitty and a puppy. Puppy requires a LOT of attention so a very big distraction.

DH and I have two dogs who are absolutely rambunctious, and crazy. We love them, they keep us busy. We also purchased a house a week after we got married and so we've been working on it, renovations, decorations you name it. I also workout 5 times a week for an hour or two. I am learning new hobbies too, such learning to paint, photography etc. It has helped me a bit.

my puppy is my main distraction! :) ever since we got him things have been better!

I try to keep a journal, read books, do things around the house...anything to keep me from sitting still and letting my mind wander for too long :flower:

oooo and yoga helps me a lot too!

This year I've been volunteering once a week, taking a hip hop dance class, and really focusing on work. Keeping busy is hard but good!

I was super bummed when the 1 year mark came and went for us TTC. So.....we got a puppy! And I can honestly say he was the best thing to come into our lives! I can put all my maternal needs to him...and now 10 months later...I'm still so so happy we got him! Also, LOVE yoga...and I still surround myself with all my friends and their little ones. Even though I am the ONLY one of my close friends who does not have the blessing of a baby...I still enjoy spending time watching their little ones grow up!

I love all your keep busy and happy ideas!

my job keeps me super busy, I work in a local emergency room, also my husband and I met because we both enjoy cars and working on cars so that garage keeps me going also!

p.s. I love this idea of a thread!

I was told by a co worker that getting a puppy will help us get pregnant cud that's what she did it kept her busy.....well I have two dogs now...lol and we have been trying to fix up our house...its an older house so it needs some work...espeically since the ppl before us didn't take care of it :( and working seven days a week keeps us busy.. so a lot going on...here lately though ive been dreaming of bfps...and kids...its weird...lol

Losing weight and working on sponsorship for my other halfs race team.

My puppy (who is 3 now! Ha) keeps me going too. He's my angel.

my new kitten has been a big distraction for me, she keeps my hands full but she's growing and getting lazy so she's not so playful. Kinda bums me out that she doesn't fit in the palm of my hands anymore.

My only other distraction has been my weight loss goals. I figured if I keep myself busy and focus on losing a few pounds a week from now on, I'll feel more confident in my life and in my skin as well as get closer to improving my chances of being pregnant. Though in the end of the day my mind still goes back to ttc, so it hasn't been the best distraction ever :c

For me its not been too much of an issue until recently. As we get closer to getting treatment, the more I need a distraction! For me its been our two dogs who listen to all my chattering when we walk out on the hills every day. Pets have no idea how wonderful they are at times of stress!

We too just bought our first home, gutted it and re did it all. i thought that would have helped as well but it didn't. I work full time and at a gym once a week so i can get a free membership (which i hardly use :p)

I find that just when i get okay with things and i relax then someone announces and it brings you right back to square one, happened last night so now i'm wanting to just go home and sleep and avoid it all!
