What are your 12 week old babies like?

My baby is 11 weeks. He's just starting to get his sleep sorted and into a routine (sleep 8 pm - 630 am, nap 9-11, 1-3, and a catnap in later afternoon.

He smiles a lot now and coos a ton.

He bats at his toys on his playmat, and he just learned to roll from tummy to back 2 days ago.

He still loves to be swaddled at night. He feeds on demand and I'm not sure how much he eats since I breastfeed.

He always smiles when I sing "my bonnie lies over the ocean" and calms down, but won't for any other song. Haha.

He is very fussy in the evenings and the only way we ever can eat dinner is by placing him on the table with us (safely) and letting him stare at the chandelier

At 12 weeks Thomas was:

about to roll both ways
grasping things well and passing from hand to hand
VERY LOUDLY squealing all the time
smiling and laughing a lot
doing baby pushups (so cute)
breastfeeding every few hours
4 naps a day

At 12 weeks Sophie was:

just starting to grasp things well
content to lay on her back on the floor
not rolling or attempting to at all
smiling and cooing, the odd chuckle
about 3 loooong naps a day and waking 2-4 times a night

Ds is almost 10 weeks.

He sleeps 6pm-7am, waking for 2 feeds. He fights every nap and naps best on me - hates daytime sleep in the cot! He's still batting at things but occasionally grasps & then looks amazed :haha: He can be very smiley somedays... And grumpy others :haha: Hes noisy! He likes to "chat" with me, he snores and he grunts! He follows me around the room with his eyes - thinks our bedroom wallpaper is hilarious & can focus on things about a metre away. He enjoys tummy time and likes to be rolled from front to back & vice versa - the other day his head lolled to one side & he rolled over himself (fluke!) and he loved it!!! Big smiles & very proud of himself! He enjoys his jungle gym, kicking and people talking to him. He hates being overtired (& so do we!!).

Oh & he thinks he's a one year old. If he sees something he wants, he flails around and tries to get to it!

Wow! Was Thomas overdue? Sorry if that's a weird question it just seems really advanced for 12 weeks.

At 12 weeks Zach was:

Batting at toys but not yet grasping (grasping at 14 weeks)
Cooing lots but not loud squealing (squealing at 14)
Smiling lots but few giggles (plenty of giggles by 15)
Waking up to 25 times a night
Napping 2-30 minutes during the day, 5 times or so, lying on me
Still gagging on his reflux but in less pain thanks to medication, so less screaming
Not rolling but lifting up head and looking around during tummy time (first rolled front to back at 14, yet to roll the other way but gets on to his side)
Breastfeeding on demand, which was snack feeds every 30 minutes-1.5 hours (now on formula Thank the lord)

17 weeks now and big improvements

A little, he came 6 days over. Sophie was 5 days early :-). Thomas has always been on the go, he was grasping at 9 weeks well, he first started to reach out and open his hand to grab things at 6-7 weeks. It hasn't made any difference to him as a kid though, he's on the same level as his peers.

Louie was overdue. By 12weeks could take his weight on his legs with us holding him. He rolled at ten days old though and held his head up at birth. He could grab and hold objects at twelve weeks and was breast feeding in demand. He had two fifteen minute naps in day that's all! Oh and he could climb out of his play nest! He is a normal three year old now.

Our dd now 14 weeks less physical. Not rolling fully but can go back to side. Happy to lay on her back and kick.
