Pretty much explains itself.

I dont work, im in school and james is in college and works saturdays(6 hours) and tuesdays and thursday evenings (3 hours)

Sure start Maternity Grant £500

£1000 Grant if you get a council house

Child Trust Funds are opened with a £250 voucher provided by the government for all babies so for you £500

Unfortunately, parents of twins or multiple babies aren't currently entitled to additional maternity or paternity benefits. Leave and pay entitlements remain the same as if you were carrying one baby. However, as a multiple pregnancy can be more physically demanding, you might want to start your maternity leave earlier. Premature labour is much more common in multiple pregnancy.

Child benefit is a non-means tested payment made to parents or guardians of children aged under 16 (or under 19 and in full-time education or training). You will receive £18.10 per week for your eldest child and £12.10 for any children you have after that.

Thats all I know!!

If there twins how much child benefit would we get, would it be £18.10 for both? or just the eldest?

only eldest! But you 2 wil both get ur own indivdual benifits Xoxo

also the £500 sure start maternity grant you get per baby so you would get £1000 :), you can get this from 28 weeks
£190 health in pregnancy grant from 25 weeks (so you can get that now :D)
income support £50.95/week, from 29 weeks
healthy start vouchers, £3.10/week vouchers for milk, fruit, veg & baby formula. from 15 weeks pregnant up to when the children are 4 years old (i think!)
also if you're planning on going back to education at any point, Care 2 Learn means you'll get childcare costs covered.
not sure about the benefits after baby is born but im sure your MW can help you with that nearer the time

How much do you get?
The amount of Child Benefit you'll get depends on how many children you’re entitled to get Child Benefit for, and the current rates of Child Benefit.

The rates are as follows:

Who the allowance is for Current weekly amount
Eldest or only child £20.00
Additional children - per child £13.20

You really need to speak to the CAB re benefits.
Depends on who you live with as well ie parents or your own place.
