What benifits do you get in UK

ive been single since June & am fed up of my parents topping me up with money every month.. im really greatful that they help but to be honest they shouldnt be!!!

i get £660 HB pcm (rent is £715)
£170 income support every 2 weeks
£60 child tax credits a week &
£20 Child benifits

i get the food vouchers too

am i missing anything?

im pretty confident if my full Rent was paid ide be ok without my parents help but i just dont get why its not being paid?!? xx


ETA: does anyone know if the council can pay my rent straight to my landlady (its through an estate agents) x

That sounds like a lot in rent sweetie, does that include any bills or anything? Maybe it's just your area here, a 2-3 bed will be 400-500 privately depending on the area. I know different councils have different maximum amounts for housing benefit. In my area, the maximum amount for a single mummy that only requires a two bed house is £103 a week.

should of said in my original post that my rent is VERY low for the area.
im looking at moving as i dont feel safe in this flat but its £1,200 for a 2 bed flat.. we got this cheap as the landlady needed someone asap & its not a nice modern flat like all the others..

my budget given to me by the council is £750 pcm. xx

Try the lha calculator it should tell you the base rate that the council will allow you as a maximum if you privately rent x

i get £140 too i think..

yeah i should get full HB but they say im not intitled to it :-S i dont see why.. they pay upto £750 on a 2 bed property.
ive booked an appt with CAB to try sort it.. xx

got an oppointment with CAB next weds.
rang council & asked if i get help towards my cost of renewing tenancy (£89) they said no..
so no idea where im going to find that as im not asking my parents for more money. xx
