Hiya girls!
I'm at the end of my tether with the leaky Avent bottles!

Decided to give in and buy new ones but I really haven't got a clue which ones to buy

Any help/advice would be great!

P.s. Anyone using MAM Ultivent anti colic bottles? I think I just like the colours they come in!

I spent a fortune on bottles, buying Tommee Tippee CTN ones firstly along with stage 1,2,3 & variflow teats, then a set of Boots ones again with a set of new teats, went back to the CTN, then bought a set of Dr Browns which I wished I had done from the offset as they are great! They are a bit bigger & have extra parts to put together / clean (which really isn't that much of a hassle), but Jack drinks his bottles with so much ease now it is unbelievable - he was normally struggling halfway through with the others as he had wind - he now burps at the end of his feed - which is when he has had enough - usually with a drip left in the bottle!

I swear by MAM anti colic ones with the valve on the bottom... dead easy to clean, and fab huge burps at the end of the feed. :D

:hi: hi honey, i too got really fed up with avent, i switched to MAM's and haven't looked back, what i highly recommend them :) i put them in our avent steam iq steriliser too, however have also got a milton cold water steriliser for bases etc, and dummies and such

Dr Browns, i loved them with my litle girl and im gonna use them for this baby! My cousin was recomended them by her doctor and she then told me about them.

Thanks girls! So now I have to decide between MAM anti colic and Dr Browns! It has narrowed it down a bit, might buy one of each and see how we go!

:hugs:

dr browns are the best i think. esp if baby suffers from bad wind. costy but worth every penny.

Christine

Dr Brown are amazing bottles, wouldn't recommend any other

Dr Browns Dr Browns Dr Browns!
I started Rhiannon off on Avent but she had such problems bringing up her wind that i changed to Dr Browns, and even though they are more expensive and have the extra tube bit to clean they are sooooo worth the money..

Will the Dr Browns fit in my Avent IQ steriliser and IQ bottle warmer do any of you know?
Also, with there being an extra bit to clean with the Dr Browns do I have to buy a special bottle brush or will my avent one do? xxx

i'm not sure about dr. browns but i still use avent bottle brushes with my mam's and also mothercare do i fab bottle brush :) not sure about bottle warmer - i no my mam's bottles don't fit into my avent bottle warmer so i just use a plastic jug and hot water. i've heard such great things about dr. browns, maddi has been so lucky bless her and never suffered with colic bad no how horrible it can be, which is why dr. browns are supposed to be so good x x x

Use a normal bottle brush and they come with a little brush for the tube

I bought all CTN bottles and Jess had such a hard time with them. Switched to DR brown bottles and what a difference!!!

I cant reccommend DR Brown highly enough- love them!

As everyone says, worth every penny! Theyre easy to clean and put together.

Another Dr Brown fan. I would definitely recommend them.

We use Dr Browns, and they're great - Help with wind, got rid of colic altogether, cost a lot but well worth it.. Good luck

Hiya girls! Thanks for all your advice, I had no idea!

Well that's us been on Dr Browns bottles for a good few days now and WOW!
Daisy hasn't had any colic since! :yipee:!!
She is back to sleeping right through the night again and isn't as clingy through the day and sleeps so much better then too!

I hope it is all to do with the bottles and lasts!

Thanks again girls! :hugs:

They made a huge difference for us too. Only problem is the teats are quite hard and Tegan gets thrush in her mouth a lot (because shes on antibiotics all the time) and they hurt her mouth so we have to keep switching..

Glad they work for you!
