most of the day leyley just sits in her chair or has cuddles or feeds or sleeps lol, i feel kind of bad cos i think i should be doing more with her but i just dont have a clue wot to do?? shes been in her jumperoo a few times which is great but her arms arent long enough yet to play with the toys so she just looks at the dangly toys and smiles at them and ''talks'' to them lol, what else can i do though?

thanks girlies :)

Ive always gone by what this site suggested :)

I never really played at that age so much, we did tummy time and I would get down on the floor with them so they could see me and would stay happier with it longer. I also carried them around facing out, talking about all the stuff in the house or outside, they loved that. Just sitting talking to them thrilled them at that age too lol

i remember feeling just the same honey! take her lead and see what she likes, but tbh i found maddi much preferred lots of cuddles then :)

you could give her some time on her tummy, but sounds like you are doing loads to interact with her - so don't feel bad

Playmats are good, or the copy game (stick out your tongue and see if she mimics you), make faces, talk to her, Hannah's mobile was a hit at that age

There doesn't really seem to be a whole lot you can do with them at that age. Essentially just everything Vickie already listed. The only other thing I did with Danny is try to mimic the noises he made.

We play a lot of tiggle games and stuff like that, Brooke quite likes peekaboo too :)

its never too early start reading to her ..just simple baby books are good atm the sound of your voice is everything to her singing is good too Archie loves issues by the saturdays just now lol xx

Great link thanks! I'm always trying to come up with new games and things to do with Harry during the day and there's some great ideas on there!:happydance:

I was always stuck for things to do with Lexie at that age. I just played peek a boo, or put her on her playmat and played with her. :D

thanks everyone :d

when do they start interacting more? i mean she sometimes looks at me when im talking / playing with her but most of the time shes too busy staring off into space for me to get her attention lol

3-4 months with Hannah I'd say....and it's just gradually increased.

i bought black and white books for newborns from amazon. I bought these and he loved them and still does. also rattles for hands and feet.

we didnt really play much at that age, i just remember she suddenly got interested in everything over night. we just talked to her alot

I worry about this with Fraser too...had a look at the website & do already do most of the things that it suggests. I just try & involve him with what im doing as much as possible the baby carrier is good for this x
