Hi, I miscarried my 8 week old baby on monday. I was wondering does monday count as cd1 or tuesday? I am keen to ttc straight away so any advice wud be great. Thanks in advance. Xo
Hi, sorry for your loss The first cycle after a MC is quite often not regular length. The new cycle doesn't really start until your hcg returns to zero (or near to zero). Until then, your body will still act like it is pregnant so it will not start preparing another egg to be released. Hcg can take up to around 2 weeks to reduce down enough.
Sorry for your loss Hollyrose..I wish you the best in your journey to TTC again.
I had a natural MC on Aug6 and passed the placenta the next morning. I've read to track the first day of your MC with heavy bleeding for CD1.... Just last Monday my hcg levels were less than 2 and today AF showed! I didn't even have typical ovulation signs either (no CM and no ovulation pain). So I would say you can count your first day of your MC as CD 1. Also Ive read other women say their OPKs are all off since your body still has high levels of HCG.
