What did you girls feel like after your sweep?

Well im now 2 days overdue and ive had my sweep today i was finger tip dialated so she put it so a sweep was manageable ....didnt half feel the pressure when she was doing it..

I have had a sweep with my 2nd pregnancy but that was nearly 6 years ago so forgot since then...since she as done it im getting much more like pushing pressure in the bum area and front and loads of deep pains in the tummy is this normal after the sweep.

i didnt feel ay different at all... the initial exam i found painful but nothing happened for me until about 4 days later and even then it was only the loss of my plug... so i was induced....

I had one yesterday (8 days overdue). LOs head was low, cervix low, 1-2cm dilated and part effaced/stretchy. Didn't even really feel her do the sweep to be honest!

After I needed to have a poo blush then had constant bad backache all afternoon. Contractions started at about 8:30pm every 10 mins but stopped when I went to bed. Lost a massive bloody show this morning and being having contractions on and off, but nothing regular. Just want things to start properly!

Since the sweep 3 hours ago...i have then since had quite alot of discharge come away and everytime i go loo and then wipe there is like brown/dark red discharge coming away..been having bad cramps in belly and lower back..

Oh god i felt the consultant do mine felt like she was ripping my insides out ....

Only time will tell i suppose...i hope something happens for you soon cocoaone x

I had mine at lunchtime today - cervix was 1-2cms, favourable, very soft and she managed to sweep round baies head 3 times. lost some bloody mucus when she did it and a little bit since - had a couple of minor contractions between sweeps too - it was bloody painful!

Have been having contractions all afternoon - just started to time them and they are lasting around 30-40 seconds on average, not sure how far between them, trying not to look!

I had mine today too. Wasnt as successful as it could have been due to me not exactly being "favourable" but she gave it a go anyway.

i've had pain quite low in my bump but mw told me to expect that to happen and possibly a bit of bleeding.
