What do antenatal classes involve??

I know all birth centers/hospitals are different but I just wondered if anyone could shed any light on what antenatal classes generally involve? I have 2 classes booked at our birth center, the first one is tonight from 7 till 9 and a following one next Thursday. We have left it pretty late for us to go off to the classes due to the our birth center closing then re-opening last month and this was the soonest set of classes that weren't booked!

So can anyone help and let me know what's in store for us at the class this evening?

We had our first class on Tuesday and it basically involved the midwife explaining about labour and the different stages and what happens in each stage. She told us what to expect from the hospital, spoke a little about pain relief but apparently thats covered in next weeks class. Just the basics really nothing I didnt really know, just went into a bit more detail about the labour and timings for contractions, etc. Few weird people in our class hopefully you will be lucky!!
