What do these boys' names make you think of?

Our firstborn is called Rowan, and we love it because it's a name that is known but not popular, it's easy to spell, and I like the nature connection. It took us FOREVER to agree on a name for him, and DH is a fussy bugger!

We found out yesterday he's having a little brother, so now the name arguments have begun again. I went through a babynames site, found 43 names I like, gave the list to DH and he's dismissed out of hand all but 4 of them!

So what do these names make you think of a person named that? Which go with Rowan best? Any problems you can foresee?

I like Rowan & Sebastian the best! I think they work well together as a sib-set. Also it is "known but not popular" and has a great association with the movie The NeverEnding Story... which is a movie that I love!

I think Logan is nice too - but maybe too popular for your liking. And Myles & Jasper also sound fine with Rowan (just not my style).

Myles- Posh 90s kid is what this reminds me of. Don't like it.

Sebastian- Love this name, very cute.

Jasper- We considered Jasper for this LO, so it's my favourite of all four.

I really dislike Logan, sorry. It's also pretty common now so think it would clash with Rowan as that's not so popular.

I really like Myles (although prefer Miles or even Milo!) and Sebastian, I think they work really well with Rowan.

Also not too keen on Jasper - it reminds me more of an old man.

Rowan and Jasper go best together but I like Sebastian the best in general. Jasper is cute too, though. Not a fan of Logan or Myles, and I agree with the PP who said Rowan and Logan are too similar.

I like all the name choices Sebastian is really common around here (I have two nephews called it and and a close friends son!) And I know a few Logans. I don't know any Myles though and Jasper is on my list so I'm leaning towards them!

Brutal honesty here...

Logan - Seems ever so slightly "chavy" to me and that doesn't fit with Rowan at all in my head

Myles - I'm just not a fan

Sebastian - I adore this, it's a classic. I think of Shakespeare

Jasper - Makes me think of Jasper Carrot or a pet

Myles- its ok, don't really have any opinion of it.

Sebastian- I can only think of the lobster from the Little Mermaid lol but its an ok name.

Jasper- love this name and think it goes with Rowan.
