Lets make this an upbeat thread!

To keep from obsessing over TTC, we play board games, watch TV (Ghost Hunters, WWE and Mythbusters, mostly.), go for long walks and just hang out together. It is only around Clomid popping time and possible O time that I really even think about TTC too much. That keeps me up an going.

We walk the dog every night and make up stories about the neighbours as we walk past. Its very childish but highly amusing.

Well.... mine does not obsess about it all (what the hell is wrong with him-ha!) but I usually just try to watch TV and go thru my cookbooks for recipes.

Cuddling on the couch while watching TV. We have a very comfy 3 seater sofa that reclines. :cloud9:

We can't. More like DH can't. He keeps asking me if I'm O, othervise he won't BD :hissy::hissy::hissy: He does, but just hearing about it this way is very upsetting.

Also, one time I said I might be O. He said that I look sexier all of a sudden :cry::cry: I already feel defective, half-woman, and he's now telling me that because of my problem, I don't look sexy anymore! He said another time that the reason he's not into BDing as much anymore is because I told him that I was "infertile" and gave him no hope, so he doesn't feel like it :cry::cry::cry::cry:

I regret telling him anything at this point. He's just making things worse for me. I'm under extra pressure because of him.

I don't talk about TTC or my difficulties with conceiving at all, he does. I don't know what I can do... I'm so sad about this...

We dont really talk about it with each other. My hubby doesnt want to make it a job that he has to do. So If I know its the right time, I just "Bust a Move" After that, I keep the details to myself ;)

My husband doesn't obsess, simple as lol!

I only have occasional obsessive months, so it's not too bad for me - I find if it's getting too much I stay away from TTC forums for a while and that's the single biggest help.

Sounds to me like you could both do with some counselling, it's always the woman people think obsess/get depressed etc but often it's equally the male.

Mario Kart on the Wii!!!!

Also just generally try to get on with life and enjoy it as much as we can!!!

I always moan that my OH doesnt seem to be interested - but it seems like yours is going completely the other way.

I think Loula is right that maybe some counselling might help - soemtimes they just dont listen to you unless there is someone else there forcing them to.
Could you maybe try a 'dirty' weekend away / some sexy undies etc.. to try to spice things up - and do it at a time when you couldnt poss. conceive so that it is all about the fun and about you and him.

On the positive side - it is lovely that he so wants to be a dad and is taking an interest.

I really hope you can sort this - you dont need any more pressure on you right now.

And you are most definitly not a half-woman - we are SUPERwomen - with everything we have to put up with!!!:hugs::hugs:

We take the dogs for walks, watch tv and play the Wii. I also throw myself deep into my work so that I haven't got time to think about it.

We haven't obcessed for ages because we can't get pregnant naturally...like 1 in a million chance so no timing or anything like that for us for ages.

Because we're going through our first IVF cycle we've been a bit obcessive, just hoping that DH's sperm can fertilise my eggs. Once/if that can happen our obcession will turn into hoping we get pregnant!

We're both really busy and work long hours so when we finally get home, its dinner, tv, cuddles then sleep so we have a lot of distractions.

Very true. I wish we could but DH would never go for that. It's gradually getting better but even the little things are hurtful. I wish he would talk to me about how he feels but he won't. He's trying to look strong and act like it's no big deal and everything will be fine but I know there's more to it beneath the surface...

Thanks for the encouraging words :hugs::hug::hug:

I've been trying to pursue the sexy way but AF gets in the way :hissy: It keeps on coming before it's due, spoiling all that effort.

I sincerely think that no man could go through all this. They don't understand how much of an effort this takes because they never put themselves in these kinds of situations, and they find a way to wiggle their way out if they ever have to!

We should introduce your OH to my DH, maybe they'll balance each other out a bit... :-D

We bought an xbox 360 - wonderful distraction tool

I buy prams and buggies off ebay....Oh no is this part of the obsessing :(
