play with a ball
read books (again seconds !)
follows me round doing housework
singing/dancing
shape sorter
cars

im trying to encourage drawing and sticking which we did this morning

I was thinking of bringing her outdoor stuff inside - tent / tunnel - though theres not enough space for these and all the above lol

Teddy bears picnic

shes not interested in cooking

My son is 17 months and i find it soohard work when were in all day.
I try to take him out if its fine, itry to take him for a walk, we live 5minutes walk froma park so go there. If its raining i just put him in the car and go anywere, lol even if its just walking round asda for half hour or so.
I bring all his outdoor stuff in i just push the sofas and furniture to the side of the room and bring his slide, tunnel, playtent, ball pool, cars inside (obv not all at once)
I let him watch tv for a short time he only sitsfor around 5 minutes, so if i want to have a quick bru i put it on.
He loves playing with cardboard boxes, we saved loads after christmas and i bring them in and he sits in them and climbs in and out lol.
He also loves banging on pots and pans.
I rotate what room we play in, living room, backroom, bed room etc.
He doesnt show much intrest in most of his toyslol he has happyland stuff and aquadoodle but i think hes still to young for them, he does like playing with his vtech laptop and other noisy vtech/fisherprice toys.
Oh and megablocks he likes them lol.
We hae silly time playing on the floor lol, when i lie down he will climb on me and sit on me and have a human donkey ride haha,
xx

yeah the day is better when you go out, we need milk tommorow so will walk to the shop - I always think that must be boring to them tho ?!

we play with toys mornings unless we at some group - Oh does story craft and ryme time on 2 seperate days and i swimming and jo jingles on 2 days (although swimming on hold til warmer weather). id suggest getting out and abot- park/library etc

hmmive never thought about it being boring to them haha, whenever i put LO's coat on he walks to the door and it never borthers him, he is really into walking everywere now, even if it is just to the shop, or around asda etc, if ive time i do try to let him walk holding my hand xx

the road to the shop is narrow and ive only just started outside walking with her im not comfortable with it until she is alot older, the walk to the end of the road is safer and there are a few swings there so I might try that tho its all weather dependant

edited to add - little miss will not hold my hand !

I let Kelana play alot by herself and I will get down and play blocks and stuff, but for the most part, she finds her own activities...and the cat and two other kids help! I also take her to the library, shopping, out for coffee, to play groups, swimming, skating, parks, play in the snow, reading together. Outside, she has chalk for the boulevard, a deuce coupe car, a wagon which we will take her for walks with. She plays at the school when we pick up/drop off the kids. I literally do everything with her...probably more so with her than the other two, because they do more things simply because they are older, but it makes me realize that Kelana enjoys these things just as much as the older two kids.

i feel your exhaustion. zakk will play for periods of time by himself but often requires me to sit with him on the floor (damn you nursery!) and he likes to watch what i am doing like cooking etc.

we play with blocks and his cars but he is soooo energetic he is more into jumping on the bed and about on the sofa. we try to go out as much as poss (he literally takes his coat to the front door if we stay in past 11am and sometimes just go to sainsburys or walk to the park. he loves playing out doors (groan!) and play centres.

one thing i have learned is teaching him stuff like how to help unload the dishwasher and the washing machine. he knows were the t towels go now and likes to put them away and understands things like pulling the curtains etc (i hope i am training him up for some poor woman in the future)

he goes barmy at home. glad he isnt the only one in a way!

My lo is getting house trained too, the other day she asked me to take her shoes off and picked them up and took them to the shoe rack and put them on - I was really shocked !!! I try and tidy every room before I leave it and she helps with that, tumble dryer and washing machine she can do - except she gets too excited and opens and closes the tumble dryer door repetitavely is soooo annoying lol

Eurgh, I sympathise. We go to playgroup three mornings a week, and I work one day a week (JJ goes to childminders). We also go to the local soft play, walks, the playground and round to friends houses. To answer the original question though, around the house we do the following:
Have a tea party with teddies and JJ's little tea set.
Building blocks
Lego
Reading, looking at photo albums
Blow bubbles
Bounce bouncy balls on the kitchen floor
Drawing with crayons and chalk. General glueing/making. Mixing and baking cakes.
Helping mummy tidy up
Shape sorter and blocks
Lego
Play-doh
Sticker book
Singing and dancing together, making music
Playing hide and seek with each other, and with me hiding teddies.
Dressing up
Having a bath for water play with bath toys.
Looking out the window and talking about what we see.
Watering the plants (I hold him and the watering can, he has a hand on the watering can)
Cbeebies when desperate/need to do something/we both need to chill
Tickling/rough-housing
Jigsaw puzzles

Hope that helps :) xx

:flower: we do alot of that too, its very tiring when you do all of it in a day and they just dont stop... when they nap you run around clearing it all up instead of sitting down lol

Yes, very tiring! When JJ naps Im so relieved! But it's often all I can do to nap alongside him. Basically, my life revolves around a toddler  :haha:

You guys have awesome ideas!! The only thing I have to add is sometimes when we are both so absolutely bored, sometimes we drive to the store and walk around for an hour or two. Things that are so boring to me absolutely amaze my youngest son. He loves to look at different brands of toilet paper, dog food, toy aisle (Obviously! lol), cd's, craft section, you name it! He cannot get enough! lol And usually by the time we get home from our "field trip", he is exhausted and zonks right out!! If only I had half of the energy my boys have!! lol

I actually never get tired of doing the usual routine....

bouncing playpens...
reading books...
walking outside....
going to a park....
watching mickey mouse...
When i really want to show him a good time though, i take him to the zoo. He has a crazy obsession for penguins...
