I'm only 12 weeks so its very early days but we have started discussing names....I like Amy Grace for a girl and Mason James for a boy but hubby isn't too keen on Mason, he says it sounds more like a surname! Also is Amy Grace a bit too traditional and 'safe' cos I do like more unusual names normally? xx

I like Amy Grace...its very pretty and cute! I like the name Amy...I wouldn't choose Grace myself as I think its becoming a bit too popular but its still a nice name.

Not so sure about Mason either if I'm totally honest, I'm not keen on names that could also be surnames...I love James though, and its lovely as a middle name.

Go with whatever feels right for you though. Its such a hard decision to make isn't it?!

My maiden name was Mason (and I hated it as a surname) but I still like it as a first name for a boy! I think it's better suited personally. I like:thumbup:
Not keen on Amy or Grace-Grace is overpopular and I dislike hard "g" sounds, and Amy just isn't my thing. I do think it's "safe" as a name in a good way though-no crazy shortneing or dodgy nicknames, ladylike. It's an easy name to live with I should imagine

I really like both names :D
But i usually search the name by fiting them with the surname :)

I really like Mason. I agree that Grace is popular but as a middle name I think it is nice. I am not as keen on Amy. It isn't a bad name, just sounds a little dated and common.

I think both names are nice, really like Mason for a boy, and Amy is cute, like the middle names too. xx:thumbup:

I really like Mason James!

I don't care for Amy, but would you consider something like Amity or Amelia? Both go nicely with Grace and, while they're not quite as common, they both have a similar feel and sound.

I really like both names. I adore Amy Grace...it's very pretty and has great flow!
