What do you think of my boys name?

We're currently team yellow and actually plan on staying that way, but I have a gut feeling it's a boy. Anyway, we have the name Hector Stephen Andrew. Stephen was my granddad's name and Andrew was hubby's dad's name. Hector is just the only name we agree on. I'm just wondering if people think hector is a bit too unusual? I justify it to myself that if he hates it he has 2 normal middle names to chose from when he's older.

I love unusual names and i think that it is very cute, and totally goes with the middle names you have chosen

It is unusual - could you shorten it down at all? Would he get Hect?

I'm on the fence, it's nicer than most 'unusual' names I've heard on but I'm a fan of traditional names

I love it. Not too unusual (but mind you I live in London so there is no such thing here as too unusual!).

Thanks for the replies ladies. I really do like the name and it's the only one DH and I can agree on. Not sure how we'd shorten it though.

Not all names need to be shortened either, I've always been crystal; never chris or Chrissy or anything. I think hector would be a name that could stay un-shortened?
