I just have a couple of short weeks left.

I've only recently been telling people the name, and NOBODY likes it. They all wrinkle their nose and suggest other names. MIL really wants us to name her Mary Frances (I HATE THIS).

I LOVE my baby's name!

What do ya'll think?

Her name will be Delaneigh Joe Rhiannon Martin. (De-lane-y) She will be called "Delaneigh Joe" in school (a double first name). Joe is mike's late father's name and my late grandmother's name, so it holds a special meaning.

hi i love delaneigh joe but not sure if adding the Rhiannon is a bit too much. ??

i dont know. it sounds nice but its the name of a very popular bus company in the UK near where i live so when i read it all i can think of is buses! but you wont have that problem being across the pond lol.
and im sure her friends would end up calling her DJ for short. it is a pretty name and i bet it will suit her down to a tea. dont listen to anyone else, they have to like it or lump it as shes your baby and its up to you and your partner what you name her. they will get used to it eventually. my family did with my little mans name as they werent keen on it to begin with but they love it now and cant imagine him being called anything else. xx

I think Delaney is a really pretty name -- prefer this spelling tho -- and prefer Delaney Jo as it seems a bit more feminine to me than "Joe"...

I think once she is born & named people will start to like the name once they associate it with your pretty baby girl!

I like it too but I think with that spelling she will constantly be correcting people as to the right way to say it etc

Exactly what I was going to say!

i too would prefer the spelling "delaney jo" but it's your baby so you do what you want! Don't let the mil spoil it!
