Harris?
We are Scottish and had been pretty settled on either Theo or Eli, but because I have some links to an island called Harris, the name is really growing on us. And I love Harry as a nickname :)

I'm hoping it's not common where any of you live as I want something fairly uncommon.

Thoughts would be most appreciated!

I really like it :). I haven't ever met a Harris I don't think, except for a Harrison who sometimes got called Harris but mainly Harri.

I like it. I know a Harris but it's the only time I've ever heard the name. Different but still easy ton pronounce!

It's a beautiful name but where I am in central Scotland it is very popular. I know 4 Harris' born in the last three years personally and have met others at baby groups etc. I still think it's a great name but if you want unusual, I'd pick something else. Different island name maybe? Lewis? Aran? Or for a similar sound and connection but very unusual, how about Nevis?

we have a relative called they choose ot as its a arabic name.

Oh really :( I've never met one and I'm based in Glasgow. That is a bummer, I don't want to give him a common name. I really don't like Lewis, I know more than ten. And I love arran but OH says no :(

Just looked up its popularity in Scotland last year and #9 for boys :( way too popular. Back to the drawing board.

No I'm really glad I found out how popular it is now rather than discovering it after we named him! Thank you x
