what do you think

uumm....

I really like Amelia Jean

I've never liked the names margret or jean sorry :p.

Not sure if I like Amelia, reminds me of someone I dont like I like Amalie though

haha, yeah i hate that when names remind you of other people. im not sure about it either. my dads auntie died last year and she was Jean but ive never really liked it, i just feel like i should include a family name if you know what i mean, margret is my auntie. and amelia is just one of my names on my list but not sure. its so hard to choose, i had a boys name all picked now i need to re-think!

I wouldnt include family names if you dont like them, especially old fashioned ones. My friend had a middle name which she hated because it was old fashioned and she was embarrassed by it so other kids knowing that used it against her.

You could always go for a more modern version of jean or margret, not sure what though

Keep looking for a name and one will be the right one :D

i cant find any! i like ruby but ruby is too popular now, i dont want her at school to be one of 4 in her class or something!

Amelia is getting really popular now too unfortunately. I really love it, but there are loads of them about these days. Maybe a different take on it like Amelie or Emily? Like I said I like the name though

i love Amelia and Emily :) Amelia Jean is ok x

Yeah don't use Jean if you don't like it, I don't really like it tbh, and also not a fan of Margaret. I think its more important to have a nice name than to include family names. Your daughter isn't going to appreciate the family names!

Amelia's nice though.

i hated not having a middle name and id rather have a family one than just a random one, just seems to make more sense, and none others in my family are nice! apart from my sister, but then i could use a friends name, i have two friends who have been supportive , one ive known for years and years, instead of making one a godmother i was thinking i could use her name as a middle name, so they are both included.
The one id prefer to use would be catherine,
so IF it for example was Amelia Catherine.. Ruby Catherine.. Lilly Catherine... Isabelle Catherine.. ummm... cant think of the others on my list of the top of my head,
rekon Catherine is better than Margret or Jean??

ps, both my friends will prob eb around at the birth... or at least i was gonna ask them to be, to take turns with my mum in coming in. So i gues a kinda birth partner, then the other could be a godmother??

I love Ruby Catherine. That one really jumped out at me. Don't worry about the popularity thing. It's really not a big deal in the long run, especially if it's limiting a name you like.
I think it's good to go with a name that sort of catches you. If Ruby does that for you, then go for it.
I also love the idea of honouring your friends in your daughter's name. That's more meaningful than a family name that you aren't sure you like, I think! :)
