What does everyone think of the name "Roman" for a boy?

Awesome, yeah its ranked like top 100 most popular which surprised me because I've never heard of it as a name before! Obviously it makes me think of the romans or the roman empire, but it also makes me think of like a strong masculine warrior name which is what we were going for. It's perfect because I also really liked the name "Rowan" but for a girl. Unfortunately my husband doesnt like it because his stupid brother named his dog that, but Roman is really similar and I like it just as much, just for a boy.

It's a nice enough name but I actually really love the name Romeo ....it's just a pity bloody Shakespeare had to go & ruin that name for us

I know an adult guy called Roman and he has a sister Julia. Guess the parents were thinking about Shakespeare!
