So I'm taking lo of the breast as she has bitten me so badly it's not worth it anymore, she has also dropped from the 50th to the 25th percentile and I've been advised it will help her weight.

So which formulas do you recommend? And how much/often per day?

At this age any formula would work. I think follow on tastes better than stage 1 but they'r the same when it comes to nutrients if your Lo eats a veried diet, if she's picky with solids, follow on is better as it has more vits & iron. She needs 16-20 oz at 10 months & once she's 12+ months , 12 oz is the min of dairy & you can also switch to cow milk at 12 months).

Quite often babies bite because they are teething and in pain. Withdrawing comfort now might not be such a good idea.

Dropping one centile is not really a problem, you might find that she has gone back up next time as they fluctuate quite a lot. How is her eating?

Your choice though, but after 10 months I would just give whatever she will take. It is not long until she can have cows milk,

I personally recommend Aptimal, DS1 was on this & DS2 has had a couple of bottles. I havent tried any others, so I can't really compare but I had no problems with it.

50th to 25th is not one centile. The OP has made her decision and did not ask for advice on continuing.

Hun, if you've thought about it and made you're decision now I just have to say Congrats on making it to 10months breastfeeding, that's fantastic and well done you!

Any formula would be fine. How often does she BF? My LO feeds at 7am, 3pm and 7pm. xx

My thoughts exactly. I hate it when women make a decision and ask for info and instead of being given advice they come up against comments like that. Basic maths confirms that 50th to 25th is 25 not one centile.

To the opening poster, we had bf-ing issues to start with and had to mix feed. After discussing it with the breast feeding Doris is at our hospital, she said that aptimil was generally the formula if choice for women who mixed fed. Our LO was fine on it and as thrived well since dropping te bf-ing and going soley onto formula

My mistake, on line, not one centile.

As for offering advice, I thought it relevant to mention those things. The op can choose to ignore if she likes.

Aptimal is out choice if lo had a bottle. As for how much it really depend on how often lo bf for I'd start on 4oz bottles for each feed and increase it accordingly. Might sound not enough but your be surprised ds is 6months and only take 2-3oz when he has a bottle

I combine fed and use Aptamil which has been brilliant for DS x

Teddy is breastfed and has refused a bottle for three months. He's just started taking one again and he's having Hipp organic. It tastes really oaty and nice. Mog always had SMA, but now drinks Cow and Gate 1-2 year old milk. We never really got round to giving her cows milk as we don't keep it in very often and I didn't like the idea of her having it straight from the fridge (and being all cold and chilly in her tummy. yes I know, I'm weird).

If it were me I'd use Nanny care goat formula. So far as the biting is concerned, my LO stopped doing this because every time he did it I would stop feeding him with a firm 'No' and not let him have any more for a while, like 10 minutes or something, they can be trained not to bite. I respect your decision though if you really want to stop BFing. Hope you find something suitable for you.

50th to 25th is classed as one centile line/space on the chart; when they say its ok for them to drop 'one centile', this is actually what they mean. To OP I'd recommend Hipp organic or babynat follow on milk xx

Hipp Organic Follow On. Really creamy, packaging is good for environment, gentle on tummy and doesn't smell foul like some other formulas (Aptamil smells horrid!)
