As the title says! After a nightmare time BFeeding, tongue-tie, low weight gain/weight loss, low supply, having to take domperidone and fenugreek, spending 3 hours a day expressing and supplementing with breastmilk ... I've had enough. LO still isn't satisfied and constantly hungry.

I'm swaying towards stopping completely and using formula .... I just want to be able to enjoy a happy, satisfied and contented baby without being tied to the sofa either feeding every 90 minutes or attempting to express pitiful amounts as LO cries in his swing.

What formula do you use and what made you choose that particular brand?

Sorry to hear that. I had very similar issues and swapped to FF as well. Currently using Nestlé NAN Pro. Nothing in particular made us choose it apart from a friend giving us a carton of ready to go when I was having trouble feeding. Looking at swapping though, so I will be following this thread :D

I use cow and gate for my little man- and honestly I chose it because I liked the ad on tv for the growing up milk.

We weren't given any info in hospital about the different milks so I just chose that one. I don't know where u live but as far as I know the main difference between aptimil and cow and gate in the uk is that aptimil is a lighter milk. I'm glad that i chose the one that I did- Daniel seems happy on it and is a very settled baby (well most days anyway!)

We use Hipp Organic. I like the idea that it contains friendly bacteria. I used Cow and gate with DD2 and she was also fine on that. xx

 Holly was a weirdun cos she was intolerant to cows milk, but before she was on allergy formula, we found that aptamil and hipp tasted closest to breast milk. Hipp had the edge imo. x x

I use Similac Sensitive for Fussiness and Gas. PJ has Acid Reflux and this is gentler on his system.

We use Similac Advance, not sure why but that's the one I picked out before LO was born. We did switch to the Similac for fussy babies but it made her gas worse, so we switched back after a month on that.

We use Enfamil AR for reflux, because her pediatrician gave us a few cans of it when she was diagnosed with reflux. She's done well with it so we've stuck with it.

We started on Aptimil but changed to Cow & Gate because it's cheaper, £1.50ish per tin. We needed one that had cartons too for use out and about. Also, I was brought up on Cow & Gate and I'm ok :)

We switched from Gerber Good Start to Similac Organic. They seem to be less bothered by their tummies on the Similac Organic; we switched because we wanted something closer to natural that you can get at a store.

We use Cow and Gate, mainly because that's what the hospital supplied when LO was born.

We used to use SMA, then changed to Hipp Organic, found it to be better with my LO

I just started him on Gerber soothe tonight ill update with how its working in a couple of days

We supplement with Parent's Choice (Walmart brand) Organic. LO only gets 2 bottles of it a day right now, but does wonderfully on it. She's been on it for probably 3 months now, and she takes it great.

c&g. we combifeed and use cartons, used sma with dd1 but they do these expensive weird little bottles now. c&g is cheaper and they are all basically the same

I was breastfeeding in the hospital for the 3 days i was there.. when me and lo got home, he just wouldn't latch on, i was stressed and so was he. so we just went to the nearest shop and bought him aptimal (recommended by a health visitor, LO got really sicky on aptimal, and had a lot of wind problems so went to SMA stay down.. that caused him to be constipated, so we went to cow and gate (seeing as cow and gate and aptimal is made in the same factory, pretty much identical ingredients, but at a cheaper price. LO seems happy on this milk now, i think its just trial and error, and what milk your LO gets on with xx

Yep all babies are different with which milk they suit! We tried aptaml at first with our son because my husband liked the box best! He was very squirmy and gassy on this so changed to cow and gate and he was great on it!
This time we t straight to cow and gate but DD is really sicky and windy so thinking now about switching to Hipp organic.

Breastfed for 4 months... the only formula she would drink was Hipp Organic, and it also was the one that i believe smells most "milky" and not like rotten fish like the others. Been on it ever since switching and never had any probs :)
