yeah exactly they say relax dont do too much but they wont bloody help!:nope:

with my second c-sect i was cleaning etc even driving (i know bad) after 3 weeks but i knew when to stop as i would be in pain, also take pain medicine as the quicker you can get moving around as normal the better it is for you. I didn't really have a choice it had to be done but just remember to take breaks. Do not do heavy lifting, it is recommended that you don't do heavy lifting for the first 6 months

When I did too much I got intense stomach cramps and would begin to bleed heavily again even if my p.p. bleeding seemed to have been stopping. But if you're not in pain or noticing any extra bleeding then you're clearly staying within the bounds of your capabilities. And what's the point of telling you to "relax" if they don't help??

I was like the post above and statred to bleed heaverly again when i over did it and was in pain in the evenings of days i did to much, but if your not getting any of that then it soundslike your doing fine.

With my first for 4 weeks i did not even step out of the front door (she was a winter baby) So everything i did do was indoors but again i took it as easy as possible.
With this one however it will be a different story as i have a toddler to run around after. Your body will tell you when to stop.

Technically if you do too much you can open your wound and you can cause infection which can set you back. Remember that you had seven layers of your body opened and surgically reattached together not to mention the normal post partum your going through. Yes there's things you have to do but the cost could be severe if you relapse. A uterine infection is horrible and can cause fertility issues down the road as one of the severe complications. Pain medication is good but it can give false strength that your healing faster than you actually may be. Because your artificially feeling better.

Ok not to scare you but those are the facts. The more important fact is to listen to your body and do as much as it will let you. If your doing that then great job your just fine! I had a relapse at three weeks post partum and wouldn't wish that on anyone. I've heard so many stories of women getting up and feeling great and that's awesome I hope I'm one of them when this one arrives!

i got home barely two days after having my c-section and i went a 10 minute(usually only 3 minutes but was in pain) to the shop round the corner the next day and my midwife went ballistic telling me i had to take it easy! but i felt fine and energetic, i didnt listen to her lol! if you feel well and fine then why not get the housework done, its not going to do it by itself! x
