What is going on!

My auntie (from chester) just put up a status on facebook saying 'a serious warning for everyone, a man and a woman have tried to put my 8 year old grandaughter in the back of their van'.

Theyre at the hospital as when she ran away shes fallen and hurt her leg. The man and woman in the van fled.

Theyve had police round gathering statements and what not and now theyre doing door to door in the area.

What the hell is wrong with people! Why does there seem to be so many attempted abductions lately?

I've no idea what's going on but I don't like it I hope they catch the psychos that have tried it and I hope they're not more successful with someone else!!

Oh god! That's every parent's worst nightmare. I'm so glad she is okay. I bet her parent's never let her out of their sight from now! Good on her for running away!

Something like this happened near us a couple of years ago. A 5 year old was abducted but the police managed to catch the man before he did something terrible.

we had a letter from school saying a girl who was walking home from school was approached by a van?
i think sometimes its can be lies, because its always a man in a van, but yet noones been taken? it seems to be happening alot.

Theres been reports of attempted abductions in this area too, the police have been visiting the local schools doing stranger danger talks... But I have a feeling its a lot of word of mouth nonsense which takes away from genuine investigations- the was reports of a strange car and man etc flying round facebook and txts which turned out to be the local takeway's delivery man :/

my kids brought home a letter from school today saying a man was seen taking photographs of children outside a school in our area and when aproached he sped off.....its sooo scary......
