my baby has been soooo low throughout my whole pregnancy, he was engaged at my last appointment and has litterally felt so low for ages even at my 20 week scan I had to go back as his head was so far into my pelvis they couldnt get proper measurements. so today my mum commented on how high my bump has gone, and it really has, its totally changed shape looks so much smaller and higher, my indigestion is back, he doesnt feel as heavy it just feels so different. whats the chances of him turning at this stage? Its panicking me as im planning a home birth and was all set with him being in the right position now im worrying! x

Babies are fickle things. It is possible for him to disengage or maybe he's changed how he's lying to stretch his legs or move his back to a diffrrent place.

Sorry I can't be of more use! Without a good feel its hard to say :hugs:

Unfortunately, if you already have a baby, your pelvis is opened up permanently. Your baby has a much, much better chance of being able to move around more freely, un-engaging himself. Here, this page (link) has helped me out quite a bit with figuring out exactly what position my baby is in. If you have a doppler, that will help you quite a bit if you're unable to map just by feeling movements. You wanna hear the heartbeat inches under the navel, on your left side. If not, that website also has exercises you can do to move baby into the proper position, although it can be tough to navigate the site sometimes. If you have a hard time, look up OFP (optimal fetal position) exercises. I successfully got all 3 of my babies into perfect positions for labor using these exercises, and once I knew they were head down, going up and stomping down stairs as much as I could to help them engage, and continuing to do so until they were born, to keep them that way. Good luck!! Fingers crossed your baby has just popped out and isn't doing anything TOO silly!
