What is your favourite part of Xmas?

So many things for me

The whole build up and hysteria I love, like Xmas eve and the kids soooo excited that you think they're going to explode

Seeing their little faces just light up

putting the trees up

doing the food shop, its the only time I enjoy doing grocery shopping

buying/choosing presents


the day itself and cooking for my family and them enjoying every mouthful, can't beat it

So whats yours?

I think it is when the christmas lights and stuff first go up in the town, the look on the children's faces, it is the first sign of christmas for them so it is when the magic begins.

I think one of my favourites is going out and picking the tree up, trying to get it in the car and putting it up and decorating it! I go to the same small farm shop I went to as a child to pick a christmas tree, I just find it magical

I also love putting up stockings! lol just love it

I love the winter days, where it's crisp and dry outside and cold enough to see your breath yet the sun in shining. Coming home and getting the log fire going and warming up with some hot chocolate with cream.

Christmas shopping in town and it being dark, and the christmas lights and trees being up. Everyone wrapped up warm in big coats, scarves and hats. Stopping for coffee - egg nog latte in Starbucks, peppermint hot chocolate or Gingerbread latte.

Putting the tree up. Lat year I was overdue with a big bump and putting up the decorations.

Christmas songs on the radio, and listening to them in the house, while it's snowing outside.

Ahh I love all of it so much!

Seeing people's christmas trees all lit up in their windows on dark, cold evenings, getting all wrapped up to go out xmas shopping, hearing the christmas music in the shops, people seeming more cheerful and friendly than normal, putting my tree up, wrapping up the pressies, doing the food and booze shopping -no booze for me this year though - , writing cards and getting cards in the post, little traditions we have like going out to the pictures to see a christmassy film on christmas eve...and that is all before the day itself has even arrrived !!

I love Christmas shopping in Chester! I love the little Market they have outside the big glass McDonalds, & just walking around and it feeling really Christmassy.
I'm going to Chester this year to do some Christmas shopping! x

its great! i go every year.. i love walking round in my winter coat,hat and gloves.. the christmas lights up in the town centre and everything feels SO christmassy!

My favorite part is Christmas Lights. I love them indoor and outdoor!!!!! I love driving around neighborhoods just to look at peoples displays. (However, this was MUCH more interesting and entertaining when I lived in California versus living in Alaska but you work with what you have, right?)

This is the first year since I was a child that we have a fireplace so I am very excited to put up a nice tree and sit by the fire with friends and family and a brand new baby!!!

I'll be honest here- I adore the commercialism! I love the mall any day of the year but during the Christmas season, it's a wonderland to me Even the little shops and drugstores and everything feel different; everything seems so much shinier and newer and is displayed so nicely! All the limited-edition seasonal gift sets, the toys and clothes and books and everything just waiting to be all wrapped up and given away... *sigh*

I love sitting in the living room at my parents' house, drinking coffee and reading by the fireplace while the Christmas tree lights are twinkling away, looking out our big windows at all the snow while I'm nice and cozy warm indoors. I loooove Christmas time!
