What time do/were your 6 month olds eat their food and have their milk?
Reuben's routine is completely destroyed now and I am struggling to get a good routine together of when he should eat his foods and when to introduce his milk in, he isn't drinking anywhere near as much milk as he used to which I guess is to be expected, but I know that he ought to maybe be drinking more than he is??

As LO was going to nursery when she was 10 months old for 2 days a week I based our times around their times.

She had (still has) a bottle when she wakes so anytime from 6-8am (as it was back when she was 6 months old. These days I have to wake her 4 days a week so we can get going.
If the bottle was early enough she would have breakfast at about 8. This was the last meal we introduced as at first when we tried she wasn't fussed on breakfast. She probably didn't have breakfast until around 7 months old. There are still some days she misses it.
She used to have a mid-morning bottle at about 10.30 but she dropped it pretty quickly.
Lunch at around 11.30. Normally 11.45 by the time I've sorted it out.
Afternoon bottle around 2 or 3pm.
Dinner at about 5.30.
Bedtime bottle around 7 or 7.30.

At nursery they have a snack around 9.30 and a snack at about 4 but she doesn't tend to have these when at home with me. At 6 months she wouldn't have needed snacks as well.

Lily has a bottle at about 6am followed by breakfast within an hour which at the moment is half a weetabix.

Her next bottle will be anywhere from 11-12 followed by lunch again about an hour later. This is when we do finger foods and she feeds herself.

Then she will have dinner at about 5, sometimes a little later because she tends to have a long nap in the afternoon. This will be puree and something like yogurt or half a banana. Then she has her last bottle again within an hour (lol) and goes to sleep.

She's teething at the moment and keeps waking up at 4am which can sometimes throw the routine off so I feel your pain!

Lily usually has three bottles a day but has added another one in there somewhere for the past few days. So she has on average about 21oz in addition to the rest of her food. Sometimes she will have extra snacks during the day, sometimes she steals what I'm eating, lol, so our routine greatly fluctuates! But we always do breakfast, lunch and dinner even if she doesn't eat much just to try and maintain some sort of structure which helps a lot.

We don't have a routine as such but Sophie usually has a feed about one hour before she has a meal. I find this way she's hungry enough to eat her food but not so hungry that she will drop milk feeds too quickly :D

At 6 months, we were just doing lunch every day as a solid meal. So she had milk as usual at 7am, 11am, 3pm, and 7pm (plus once during the night usually) and lunch at 12pm. We eventually added in breakfast around 7 months and then dinner around 7.5 months. But we always did milk about an hour or so before meals, which was when we did milk anyway. It's always better to offer milk first and then solids 1-2 hours after and you might find it helpful to back off trying to fit in 3 full meals a day at first. So maybe just do one meal a day to start, then add in another, then up to 3 in time. I found doing it this way meant that the amount of milk she had didn't change until around 8 months and even then she didn't drop a bottle til around 9 months or maybe even 10 months (can't quite remember!). It also just gave me time to adjust to the extra work of cooking for her in addition to ourselves. We did BLW, so she largely ate what we ate, but I did have to learn to adjust for her and cook alternate meals on days when what we were having wasn't ideal for her. But there's really no rush. Just go at the speed that works for you without messing up what's already working.

We are on 3 meals a day:

Bottle 8oz (usually finishes this) 6am
Brekkie 8am - porridge made up with 2oz formula, and some fruit purée.
Bottle 8oz (doesn't always finish this but will take most) between 9/10am
Lunch 12: finger foods - usually omelette or pasta or toast with cheese spread, and some riceakes, with either a banana or yogurt to finish.
Bottle 3pm 8oz (will drink most)
Dinner 5pm savoury meal mashed or finger foods followed by a fromage frais (plum organic)
Bottle 7/8pm (before bed) usually only drinks 4-5oz of this one.

He still takes 25oz + on average of milk (some days as much as 32oz) but I've a feeling he's gonna drop a bottle soon.. It seems like it's the evening one that he's cutting back on which worries me as I'd rather he kept this one. Not sure how to rectify that. Just going with the flow at the mo.

Hi my little boys routine is :

7am -Bottle of milk
11am - baby porridge or fruit purée and full bottle of milk
2pm - dinner puréed food and a full bottle of milk
5pm - just a bottle
7pm - bowl of baby rusk with milk and full bottle of milk

His bottles are 7oz he somtimes drinks all his bottles but sometimes will leave an ounce or two.

Because he's only 6monthe try to concentrate more on his milk intake by not offering too much of a portion of food, try puréed and offer him a few spoonfuls give him a drink of his milk then a few more spoonfuls then his bottle of milk and intime he will eat more and more plus his milk then start introducing more finger foods and larger portions In a Few months.

I like to wean slowly by one step at a time
