What makes xmas for you...

is there anything that makes it feel like xmas for you?... i.e TV program, a song, advert?

Mine is the coca cola advert and ofc The snowman on channel 4 on xmas day. not xmas without them...

OOOooo It's not xmas for us til we watch all our xmas movies!
The most watched one is national lampoons christmas vacation! I've had it on already!

I start feeling Christmassy when the gluhwein (mulled wine) and roast chestnut start appearing over here.
In the UK its Christmas Eve that I really love though. My parents live in a small culdesac and every body gathers at the end for carol singing from about 6.30pm for an hour or so, then its back to the house for mulled wine and mince pies. Then I go to the pub and catch up with old friends before walking to midnight mass and meeting up with my family again. We often have a glass of champagne and open our presents under the tree after church so we all get a lie in on Christmas morning. Guess that bit will change when I get kids!!!

when the trees up and the mulled wine and cranberry candles come out!
the smells make the house smell so christmassy its great
ohh and when we watch the santa clause (first one)
and when they start selling roasted chestnuts outside of ikea!
and the local carol service on the 15th december
and when my mam makes her big pot of lentil soup with the gammon and dumplings and veggies in...

Definately the Coca-Cola advert. Saw it for the first time the other day, and literally did a Happy dance around the living room. Mum just looked at me like I had lost it!
