We have an appointment in a couple of weeks so guess I'll find out then, but just wondering what to expect.

I'm just on my fifth month of clomid (50mg) with metformin. I fell pregnant on 2nd month of clomid but then miscarried. then had a 2 month break, now I'm on my fifth clomid cycle (cd3). I've been ovulating on the clomid (I do my temperature), so I'm just not sure what they may say to try next. Even in the 2 months off clomid I ovulated, so it may be that I continue to ovulate without clomid, I just don't know. The dr mentioned ovarian drilling last time, but I'm pretty reluctant to follow that route. My hubby has 'borderline' morphology and motility issues but they didn't seem too concerned by that. Do you think we're about ready to try IUI now? Or should I be asking for different drugs (injectables or femara or something)?

I just want to be prepared with all my questions for our appointment, so any advice/experience you have, please share!

IUI will probably be the next route. The motility I know can be an issue because that has deal with how and if they are moving...including moving towards the egg. The IUI will help with that, cause it will draw out the best and put them right at the top of the uterus near the tubes so they don't have to swim far. They may just keep you on it because you've feel pregnant twice before, but I don't see that happening. A different drug is sometimes suggested. Hard to say what they would do.

Depends how old you are. If you have time I would continue trying naturally if you are now ovulating. But if time is not on your side IUI would be the next step. Do you get this on the NHS were you live?

Most statistics show if you have not conceived on clomid (and carried to term) chances are you wont without a different option. I had done about 9 rounds of clomid (there was like a 2 month break somewhere in there) I am now on IUI#2 nurse says she thinks this is gonna be my month. Clomid was upped to 150mg. I had low progesterone. So, you may want to see if they will do a baseline for you.

Thank you for your replies. I'm 27, dh 28. So we have time on our side I guess. Assuming the same happens as when I took a break from clomid before, then I know I will ovulate at least 4 more cycles (2 more months of clomid and then the first two off it) but then what will happen after that is a mystery. Got to hold out hope that we'll have success in one of those months. DH is so stressed out at work at the moment and there's not much we can do about that. I'm slowly starting to lose hope a bit - the more unsuccessful months we have, the more disheartening it gets.
