This is serious TMI, do not read on if feeling queazy!!

OK so as you probably know it's now 7 weeks since my MC (had ERPC)
Almost BFN, but not quite, my last hCG count was at 58.

Today while stood in the garden, doing nothing, a huge gush of blood comes from nowhere, soaks straight through my pad (I was already spotting) my underwear, trousers (thank god they were black) & all over the floor... gross.

Anyway, the bleeding has slowed to just regular heavy flow now, so I'm not going to A&E just yet.

But.... I have these long thin strings of tissue coming out.
Definite tissue, not clots. They are stretchy, look kinda grey/skin colour & I've passed quite a few.
No real pain when passing them, just like AF cramps.

Anyone had anything like this? What on earth is this stuff??? Am I a freak?

& why is this happening 7 weeks on? Yikes!

Oh gosh babe. bless you :hugs: I have no idea...I really dont :(

I think a trip to the gp's would be best babe.... x x x

That sounds like you need to go and get checked out?
I had a strange day of bleeding at about 7 weeks, black blood! But nothing like you're describing. Probably nothing to worry about, just body sorting self out, but well worth a check

Typical me it happens on a bank holiday weekend when no ones about!!
I'm going to ring the gyne on tues as soon as the office opens x

Is this your first period since your mc? It may be just your body doing some necessary shedding.

My first period after my MC in Dec was horrible. Lot's of clots, heavy bleeding etc etc

The 2nd one was a lot more normal.

If the bleeding gets unusually heavy I would suggest popping down to emergency clinic to get yourself checked out.

Let us know how you get on.

Sending you big

Thanks, yes it is my first AF, I've been spotting/light flow for the last 12 days.

Hopefully this is the last of the retained tissue & I'll be on my way to my BFN finally then! :D

I'm sure you will honey. My 1st period was quite a long one and all over the place. The next one will be much more normal.

:hug::hug:

With my miscarriage in December I got bfp's for two weeks and then suddenly had a gush and passed some greyish tissue. A few days after that I was getting bfn's again. I hope it's the last of the tissue hun!

Without wanting to worry you, I think calling up the hospital and speaking to someone in gynae would be a good idea. They will be able to assess you over the phone, and if necessary the major units will take you in out of hours and examine you to check that everything is ok. Particularly given that it's a holiday weekend, I think you would be better to do this, just incase.

It's likely from what you're saying that it is just your periods returning, but the speed of the flow could be a sign of somehting more.

:hugs:oh hun, you've really been through it all.

I would think, given still not getting a BFN, that it is possibly just the last of the tissue hun.

However, if that were me I would call the gynae unit / medicom just to be certain because if it was something more leaving it till tuesday hun, could make things worse and you've been through more than enough as it is.

Whatever you decide, just try and take it easy. Let us know how you get on x

Thanks so much guys :hugs:

It's slowed down to light/med bleeding now, so I'm going to sleep on it & see if there's a gyne about in the morning to have a chat with.
If it starts again overnight tho, I'll just go straight to A&E.

What a freaky day, lol, I so wasn't expecting that!!

I think this is what it is. When I had my MC I had lots of that "grey" tissue type stuff and really heavy bleeding.

:hugs:

hi dan-o  really glad that the :witch: is finally here, although she is making a very scary appearance!! I'm glad that things have settled down a bit, and it does sound like this is the last of the retained tissue. :hugs:

Morning ladies, thanks for looking in on me :hugs:

Much better today, the bleeding has definitely stopped & I'm just back to spotting again :)(& no more wierd peices of tissue!)

A question for you.. Should I count yesterday as CD1 you think?
Or count the entire 2 weeks of light bleeding/spotting leading up to yesterdays 'main event' as a long AF?

Hey hun... long time no speak! Sorry you had a nasty scare. Hope you're feeling better. Big hugs x x x x

hey hun glad that the bleeding has settled i'm not sure what day to count as first day of af since they egad full flow as the first day but as you have had only one day of this then i would say count the spotting as the first day. hope your well.x

Hi Dan-o. What a rough time you have had. I dont have much in the way of suggestions but you are in my thoughts. XXX

I think you should still follow up with the gyn even if its via phone call and otherwise I guess you can count this as day 1, but it may not be a real period either, so that might be worth asking about as well. I've had the stringy things come out to, figure it was still stuff breaking down and better out that stuck in. Good luck to you though!

Yeah Dan-o, i think you should see someone anyway but it does sound like the last bit to go!
I am sure you are hoping so too! xxxxxxxxxx

OMG I am mortified.

I'm stood in the middle of Asda, shopping.... & it happens again

No warning, no cramps & not even spotting before hand this time.
I wasn't even wearning a pantyliner, so nothing to catch it either.
I sprinted to the loo, by which time it had soaked my clothes from my waist to my ankles & started to drip on the floor. :sad2:
It literally all came out in one big flood... like I'd pee'd myself with blood

I was so embarrassed. I blotted off the worst, but had to walk from asda's loo's to the car park like it... in front of all the shoppers

I got home, showered & put some clean clothes & an extra thick pantyliner on, but it seems to have stopped again now.

Oh and don't worry, I'm calling the gyne as soon as he gets in the office first thing tomorrow morning!!! :hissy:

God what a nightmare. I'm scared to leave the house now, lol!!
