My 4 month old is 18 lbs (monster!) and has been wearing size 3 nappies. Recently though she has started getting red blisters at the top of her legs in the folds, is this a sign that I need to move up...already?! Or is it just nappy rash, what size nappy does your 4 month old wear?!

Mine is 16 weeks, was 14lb 12oz last week and in size 3, however once I've run out of this pack I'll move him up to size 4

When DS was four months he was between size 2 and 3, neither were a good fit so we moved from using cloth part time to full time, he's nine months now and 17lb15 and we use size 4 nappies if he isn't in cloth, he's been able to wear size 4 comfortably since he was about 15/16lb. Why not buy a pack of size 4 and try them? If they are a bit big just keep them as she will be in them soon. It sounds like they could be getting a bit small for her.

I'm not sure what my daughter weighs but she is 4 months today and is in size 2 nappies but I think she will only be in them for another couple weeks as she started to get red marks as if the nappy starting to get a little tight

My dd is about to move up to size 4 when the last of the 3s we've got run out. She's quite a big girl for her age, 3 weeks ago she weighed 16lb 3oz and is in 6-9 months clothes.

My wee one is 4 months and is in size 3s, has been for about a month but she only weighs about 13lb and is on the 25th centile so she's a wee tiny!

My wee one is 15lbs and comfortably in size 3s. I think the pack gave up to 18lbs as a rough guide so maybe your LO is ready for the next size x

It can be different for every baby. They can have different body shapes so one baby may be comfy in a size until the maximum weight listed and others may outgrow earlier, or get along with a different brand better.

My older 2 were in size 1 at that age but they were quite small. Boy hit the 18lb mark around 9 months old and my girl at around 20 months old.

DS2 is just shy of 12 weeks, last weighed at 8 weeks 6 days he was 11lb 13oz. He wore a disposable about a week ago, was a size 2 and had a lot of room left.

My lb is 4 months and around 18lb he is currently in size 3 pampers but when these run out we will move up to size 4.
