Hi All,

I have tried various things i.e. WellWoman, Asda Womens Health, Multi vits etc, and as of this month I am taking the following:

Agnus Castus 800mg per day
Folic Acid 600mg per day
Zinc 15mg per day
B Complex (B1-1.4mg, B2 - 1.6mg, Niacin 18mg, B6 - 2mg, B12 - 1mg and
Pantothenic Acid - 6mg)

I would like some opinions please, and maybe share what supplements you're taking and why?

This TTC is becoming a Full time job/obsession!

lots of love xxx

Robitussin 2 teaspoons 3 x a day (increases amount of ewcm)

CD1 till ov:
Bromocriptine 2.5mg (reduces prolactine and thus helps ovulation)
Evening Primrose Oil 1000mg (It can cause your perios to start, so shouldn't be taken post ov)
Agnus Castus 400mg (to reduce my high prolactine)

I also take thyroxine 50mg a day as I have an underactive thyroid.

A Prenatal Multi V (Rainbow Light brand- 800mcg Folic Acid), Solaray calcium tabs, Whole-Mega (fish oil, 16 Omegas), and (on occasion) extra B's and D.

Some days I feel like a senior there are so many pills there! :)

I take a prenatal multi (also the Rainbow Light), a B complex with 800 mg of folic acid (Trader Joes has it in dissolving form), Vitamin E for estrogen levels (I thinks it 800mg), red raspberry leaf capsules for a healthy uterus (solaray brand), black cohosh for estrogen levels (also solaray), and bladderwrack for iodine (solaray). I did take vitex for a while but it totally screwed me up. I also too evening primrose, but wasn't taking it correctly and it also screwed me up.
fx'd!

I take

All cycle: Maca root, Folic Acid, and multivitamins containing; Vitamin A, D, E, C, B6, B12, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid and Iron :)

From CD1 to ovulation: Evening Primrose Oil

Complex b6~1x a day...multivitamin "for her"(nature made) folic acid 3x a day..flaxseed oil and fish oil 2x a day....also on metformin..I have a weekly pill box. I can't stand all the screwing and unscrewing of lids anymore!!

Thanks ladies,

It seems there is a real range of vitamins and supplements being taken (with the usual suspects appearing regularly, like Folic Acid and B Vitamin Complex).

I can't help wondering whether you can take 'too many' supplements?

I was originally taking more than I am now but something just felt a bit weird with popping up to 10 different pills a day - am I the only person that thinks that?
Obviously if something is proven to help when ttc I would take it though, so I suppose Im in 2 minds really.

Am I right in thinking that the most important supplements for my OH are:
Zinc
Selenium
Vitamin C?

Its all so confusing xxx
