What swimsuits are you wearing?!

I grew up on the beach and I'm driving back home this weekend for a baby shower and to get away for my 1 year wedding anniversary. I don't have any swimsuits that really fit.

At 33 weeks, I don't exactly have a cute bump. I'm carrying low and heavy and a couple of weeks ago, I started noticing stretch marks and I have fair skin with thick dark hair and it seems like my hair follicles or pores are very visible or pink so I'm not just going to be showing off my belly...it's just not happening.

I can't fit into any of my one-pieces. I have a couple of tops that will cover at least the top half of my belly but it's the underside and lower part that's not very pretty. None of the bottoms are really ideal but I think I have at least one or two that is more like a skirt or has more coverage.

Have any of you found the solution or are you just covering up with a beach dress or something?

I found a nice maternity one from target on sale for 12$. It's a tankini top. It covers my while bump and even goes down a little bit and covers a bit of my bum because I bought it a little big. I'll try to find a link to it. It's really comfy. It didn't come with bottoms though because it was on the clearance rack so I bought those separately.

Here it is. Maybe it's only on clearance in the store.

I'm just showing mine off in my normal bikini, if people don't like it they can look elsewhere! But here (uk) sports shops sell fairly cheap maternity swimming costumes

I am also in my regular bikini. Can't beat the comfort, and I don't care what others think (my kids love the colorful top). Also, if you think about it, it's not like men with huge flabby beer bellies make any effort to cover up. Why should we? You could also just put on a little shirt at the beach and only take it off when heading into the water.

I've got a couple of tankinis! I am swimming a lot, and they are so comfortable. I don't feel as restricted as I can do in a costume. I've got one maternity tankini and a "normal" one (just in a bigger size) and they are great.

this is so true

So far I've been wearing my bikini but now I'm stretch marks galore! A little self-conscious about continuing.
