So Holly is 8 days old and I'm still trying to get my head around everything.

What temperature do you give formula to your LO's at?

I make up the feed with newly boiled water about 30 minutes before I know that she'll want a feed. Then stand the bottle in a bowl of cold water to cool.

Her bottles are always room temp. Overnight I use ready made cartons at room temp as these are much easier to have at the side of the bed to use every 3 hours than having to go downstairs, disturb the dog and make a fresh bottle. Also means I have the feed ready on demand if she gets hungry earlier.

Are room temp feeds ok? Or should I be giving the ones she has freshly made up warm?

We make ours 37 degrees (body temp) but also give ready made at room temp when out and about. As long as its not too hot and your LO isn't complaining I wouldn't worry :) x

When she was younger we did the same but fir the past couple of weeks we've been making them up in bulk and the refrigerating them And she's been having them straight out of the fridge! I have a friend whose little boy has only ever had his bottles cold, he always hated warm feed-she used to express from herself and then have to leave it to cool! Aslong as ur LO is happy with the temp then don't panic too much about it!

Room temperature is fine. My LO prefers it that way, I put them in the fridge recently with the warm weather but she did not like that! So I just make sure they are all room temp now :)

Younger babies often tend to like them more if they are a little warmer (more breast milk or body temp, which is slightly warmer than room temp), but really it's however your baby likes them, as long as they aren't burning hot. I don't feed them cold as I don't refrigerate bottles, but usually give them room temp or just a bit warmer. It really doesn't matter though as long as you boil the water and add the formula when it's still hot.
