I am famous for drenching my daughter in milk whenever I go to hold her in the NICU. The second she's in my arms my milk lets down, starts to drip out of control, and my poor daughter is soaked during what should have been a dry kangaroo care session!

Well the weirdest thing just happened. I'm at home sitting at the dining room table working when my cat begs to be let up on my lap. I snap my fingers, she hops up, and I wrap my arms around her and kiss her on the head when... Ouch, stinging nipples, pressure, what the... ?!?! My milk starts to let down while I'm cuddling my cat! Can't my body tell the difference?!

I assume it's because cuddling my cat and cuddling my daughter both cause a release of oxytocin, which relaxes the mammary sphincters?

It must be to do with feeling all snuggly. :)

I used to pump to Classic FM - funny results when I hopped in FIL's car and he was listening to classical music. :haha:

I would kill for mine to let down at all. You are lucky and I am envious. Gonna go hug my cat now to see if I can do it too.
