7 month old baby?

I know Im thinking extremley in advance but Im hoping to pick up some bargains in the sales for next christmas when my baby will be 7 months old and I havent got a clue what to look for or get?
PLEASE ideas anyone? Or past experiences of what you've braught your/someones else child
