Hello... I have had a hard time conceiving in the past, with my son. We are now trying to add a new little one to our family and having a horrible go at it.

To give you a brief back ground I have never had a normal period... it always goes months with out having one. well in the year 2010 I only have 3 whole periods. That was all!

So we are wanting to do something about it now... but where do I even start?

Go to the doctor and what do I bring up... what kind of stuff am I looking for...? I would like to know a bit before I go in and just get all the information from the doctor. I hate doctors and never trust any of them.... so I like to know as much information as possible to be able to bounce off of what they tell me and what I know.

My aunt had the same problem and when she went to go get pregnant she was on a few pills and BAM she got pregnant with twins... but I can't remember what it was called... she said that is what I need to talk to him about...

But what do you all think?

You can read a bit more about my "problem" in my TTC Journal... but its mostly I just dont have periods...

I would check to see if there are any OB's in your area that more specialize in fertility stuff... if not, then just make sure you do see an OBGYN, not a GP. I went to my GP for blood work initially, and got referred straight away to a FS because, as she said "I'm no expert on fertility"- LOL. But the Fertility Specialist was VERY helpful ;)

I would guess there are some drugs to help bring on AF they could prescribe- then also Clomid (if you have any issues ovulating).

Just tell them your story and see what they say... be pushy if you must! Too many woman are told, just wait and see, or come back in such a time if nothing has happened... but that would be very frustrating to hear!

Best of luck hun!!!!

Thanks so much! Yes we have a FS here on the base. (Just got moved to a base about 2 weeks ago, well hubby got stationed, haha) so I will have to go see her! Also Clomid! That is the medication I was trying to remember the name, that is what my aunt was put on.

I keeping my fingers crossed something will work soon on its own before all this, but i'm ready for it either way!

Fingers crossed for ya hun! Hope it's not needed, but if it is, then it's great you have the help you need ;)
