what to expect from 1st appointment?

Hi ladies im 23 and my husband is 26. We havent used any contraception for 4years and its just not happening for us. My husband has done a semen samples that we are waiting to see the results. They have referred me for an appointment at the gynocolgy department to see if anythings wrong. Anyone fill me in what to expect at the appointment? Xx

Have they done any testing on you? What happened with me was they did a basic gynecological exam then the doctor took me into his office to talk to me. He asked me about my cycles and about my DH, then he explained everything they would be doing and gave me my scripts. DH got a SA script. I got CD3 tests (FSH and estradiol) CD 21 tests (progesterone, thyroid, prolactin) and was told to schedule an HSG once AF started. Then he answered any questions I had and that was it. For me, I will have an appointment sometime after my HSG tomorrow to explain the results of it and the results of my blood work. Good luck! I had all blood tests done and a scan and my partner had 2 semen tests before we got our 1st appointment with f/s, At my appointment i got given a prescription for metformin and put on a 4 month waiting list for lap and dye and ovarian diathermy x

Hi.

Our first appointment was a talk about our SA results so far and what the next step is. I was weighed, had my height noted down and had my blood pressure taken. There were a load of forms to fill in as well.

From that first appointment my husband had another SA to do and I had the forms for bloods at CD2-5 and at CD21. I also had to book in for an ultrasound and an HSG.

At the follow up appointment we went through the results and were put forward for IUI.
