So my doc said at my son's 9 month check up that he can be off the baby food now and onto real people food.. just in small pieces of course.. and he can't have the usual stuff you're not supposed to have until ONE... like whole milk.. eggwhites.. stuff like that..

So I was wondering.. what are you feeding your child for breakfast lunch a dinner???? Just so I know what I can feed him!!

HELP!

I feed my son egg whites (very well cooked ) and yolk he also gets whole milk ..

Hes eats anything from cereal with fruit in it or scrambled eggs and toasts .
Some days he goes out to breakfast with us so he gets some breakfast hash browns and tiny bits of bacon or ham

Thank you!.. Can I give my son scrambled eggs??? Even though it has the egg whites in it.. but what if I scrambled them?

Breakfast:
Toast
Porridge
Fruits
Yogurts

Lunch:
Sandwiches
Cheeses
Yogurts
Fruits
Veggies

Dinner:
Anything really... Aslong as it's babyproof!
She looooves veggies with cheese sauce.

She has had scrambled egg and LOVED it!

Valerie eats cherrios and fresh banana with oatmeal for breakfast. For lunch she gets mainly fresh fruit and veggies. I sometimes give her some cheese. She loves blueberries! For dinner, I sometimes feed her baby food if we're out and about. If we're home, she'll eat what we're having after I put it into the food processor. It depends also on what mood she's in, too. Haha!

Yeah thats fine :) they say no egg whites in case there are allergies in the family , but if well cooked its fine ..Max loves them like that ..hope yours does too ..

Btw there are stage 3 jars that are good for your 10 month old , my son gets those along with pcs of my food ..but the jars actually have chunks in them to get baby ready for lumpy foods and news textures ..do you still feed jars?

Yes we still use the jars.. I have a few now.. I was waiting until they are all gone and then I would use real people food..

We don't do whole milk nor egg whites. xxx

There are some foods that are not recommended until over one year old: honey, chocolate and some berries are not recommended. Also citrus fruits can be a bit harsh on their tummies.

I give Bella pretty much everything we eat.

I give her plain WHOLE yogurt with her breakfast.

I don't give her egg whites, honey, whole milk, or peanut butter yet.

She will eat anything as long as they are in small pieces. I gave her a clementine the other day and she ate the whole thing by herself. She LOVED it, but it was hard on her coming out the other end.

Thank goodness you posted this thread, cause I was about to. Char hates her baby food purees and hates the stage 3 stuff too. Doc today said to give her adult food; eggs, cheeses, yogurt, chicken, crackers, fruits and veggies and cereals, but I had NO clue how to balance this out! She had chicken, corn and potatoes with cheese for dinner...seemed to have a ball eating, though I think she got more ON her than IN her, LOL

Great lists and thanks for posting these. but i suggest give her food she can pick up and eat.

What do you do if you LO loves his jars, even the stage 3 lumpy ones, but is just not interested in picking up any food? He will pick up biscuits or toast, but when I try fruit he won't. I think he doesn't like the feel of the fruit. I've tried banana, apple, melon and a few others.

Could you mash the banana and put it in a sandwich? Would he pick it up that way?

He might do. He loves the banana mashed in his cereal or fed to him by spoon so he should like it in a sandwhich. Thanks for the tip!

So far today (our first full adult food day!) we've had:
Breakfast:
Cheerios
Banana
Formula

Snack:
animal crackers

Lunch:
3 Gerber chicken and carrot ravioli
1 1" cube of cheese
1 saltine cracker
4 slices of peach
3oz of formula

Dinner tonight will be:
shredded chicken breast
corn
potatoes

She did great on all of them..YAY!
